Limited to $2500 per payout, but I've recieved $5k payouts in < 3 hours during business hours, and <$2500 payouts quicker than Pinnacle (yes I was sad enough to do them both at the same time ;-))

Matchbook: I see you have your location listed as "Ireland". I know Tradesports is based there, is that indeed your base too?

And a feature suggestion: In the current bets section where the markets you are involved in are listed, it would *really* help me if you could link those to the markets.

Also another option in current bets that shows your net position on a market. If I have 5/6 bets back and forth I have to navigate through the site to see my overall position.

Am I reading this right, that there are free Neteller withdrawls, not even a "once a month" type thing? What's this about fees to deposit from Neteller, I've never had a book that didn't cover the deposit end...

Free 50$, no Neteller withdrawl fees...I'm just about convinced to give it a shot.

Deposits are essentially FREE, as they are made up by one receiving COMMISSION credits, depending on how much they deposit.

Just a quick heads up to Rx members that we'll be bringing our $50 promotion to a close after the weekend. We've been very encouraged by the response to Matchbook among new players. As you'd expect, about half the signups lost their free $50. Based on the number of bets they placed, however, we think they had a great experience with the site. The other half are still churning away, with one signup managing to turn his $50 into a little over $800, with no additional deposits made. Pretty impressive ...

Santo: Excellent suggestions on the Current Bets report page. Can I ask why you typically link back and forth from your current bets report to the actual markets? If it's primarily to check your overall profit/loss in the market, perhaps we could address that better by adding profit/loss columns to the Current Bets report (as you also suggest).

(By the way, Matchbook is licensed by and operated from Antigua, with all our customer support based in Ireland.)

Chuck: Drop us a line if it's been more than a day since you signed up--we haven't let anyone slip through the cracks yet, and wouldn't want you to be the first.

Matchbook: It is primarily to check my current position, but also to adjust it.. Linking is something Betfair do from their current bets window, as a quick way to get to the market. For example, I currently have leads / outstanding positions on 8 NCAA games which I intend to close out later; I have to keep a notepad file open with a list of the games I have positions in.. If I was to use the site exclusively I'd have to do (to check each market without memorising them):

Home page -> Reports -> Current bets -> Market Category -> Specific Market -> Reports -> Current bet -> Market Category -> Specific Market and so on..

(or keep the current bets window open in a tab -- which I thought of this morning -- but even then I still have to go through the category screen each time)

The free $50 is was in my account in about 15 minutes............Awesome !!!

For live betting you say you operate on a 3 second buffer so everybody has the same information, but I think sometimes there is more than a 3 second lag between sattelite and cable. Just wondering if you could offer more information on this.

Toodles...............Rugby :toast:

Baker: You must have just missed the promotion--send your username to accounts@matchbook.com and we'll set you up.

Santo: I remember that hotlinking selections in Current Bets to their respective markets was in our original site spec. I'll double check if there are any technical obstacles to doing this now.

Rugby: It's always possible that a small number of people will have extremely slow feeds (say 10 or 11 seconds), in which case they need to take that into account when they are trading live games. What the 3-second live-game buffer does is establish a baseline that gives almost everyone a reasonable amount of protection.

OK, now that I've signed up and have been looking over the site I have a couple questions....

First, I was reading that "All unmatched wagers will be cancelled at tip-off (or the game's scheduled starting time, if the game is untelevised). If the market is subsequently turned "in running", unmatched offers will not be cancelled at any time." Does this mean that if I put an unmatched wager out there on an event that's going to be on the live betting later that the offer would not be canceled once the game started? Also, is there a way to put a pre set cancel time on your unmatched bets?

And I don't see any 1st halves or quarters. Do people make offers on these?

I have another question for Matchbook...

Why does it take so long to grade a winning wager? I took over 1st half in the Michigan game and it is still not graded. I had this problem during the last week also, went to Live Chat and, of course, it was graded as I was talking with the CSR.

Matchbook generally don't grade halftime wagers til the entire game is over...

They're also slow grading late night games, my Friday night bets weren't graded til 10.30am or so this morning UK Time

Omni: The rule is that all unmatched offers get canceled at the start of the game, so that no one can pick you off once play begins. In the paragraph you cite, we were just trying to be thorough by stating that we don't cancel unmatched offers once play has begun and live trading is in progress.

You can find a link to 1st and 2nd half lines in the right-hand column of the football and basketball menus.

Tenman and Santo: We do try to get all 1st Half lines graded immediately, as people obviously need their funds free to bet 2nd Half lines. Apologies if we were late on a game, but that's certainly not our policy.
