Yep, that did the trick. Thanks! Any idea from the tech department about if there's anything I can do to permanently enable my access without having to disable the firewall every time?

Matchbook,

OK so to balance myself... If I had a matched play of Team X -7 @ +120 for $100
would I then try to find a match for Team Y @ -120 for $120?

If the 2nd offer was matched would they then not cancel eachother out and reduce my exposure to zero?

Phigment: Thank you for trying that--could you let us know what firewall and version number you are using? The tech department has been trying hard to duplicate this problem and are very interested to hear you've found a firewall that doesn't work.

J Hoffa: Exactly right about the exposures. If you bet both sides of the game, you'd be zeroed out and all your cash would be free again. This means you can bet a game early and take a profit whenever the line moves in your direction.

Nother question for ya.

I want to make a partial withdraw.

However, what is the point in depositing 100 if you got the 50 to a good level? Kind of seems a bit strange..

Baseball Guy: The "$100 deposit and bet" requirement was intended to guard against all the people out there with 12 or 13 "cousins" in need of $50 (not to mention the thousands of aforementioned Poles and Estonians). Hope that's understandable and that you had a good experience with the site.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of matchbook, and I must say that I like it A LOT.

I have a question about these "commission credits" though. What do I have to wager to unlock them?

And that 2% that you say you skim off...is that in regards to winnings?

For example, say I bet team A against team B at +100 for $100. Does that mean that you'll take $2 from the $100 and then I'll have $98?

Thanks for the replies.

So far, I am VERY impressed with matchbook. Their live help is good. Only thing I'd change is the ability to adjust the spread if you wanted to.

Ya I totally understand.. But because I don't have neteller im going to have to go through the hassle of sending a western union. Don't get me wrong, love the site.. Im not going to hit and run, this thing just is causing me a bit of a convienence when time is tight.

Good questions, Ensign Lee. Commissions are 2%, so Matchbook would take $2 in the example where you won $100. But note also that we would take *nothing* when you lost your wager. Also, you can bet back and forth on Team A and Team B, and we'll only charge commission based on your net winnings, not on each winning bet. That saves a lot of money during Live Betting, when you can buy and sell your position many times.

Commission credits are our way of making sure customers don't have to pay any transaction costs, which can be significant. If it costs you 2.9% to Neteller money to the site, we'll award you that money in commission credits. These credits will automatically cover any commissions you'd pay on winning wagers until you've used all your credits, at which point you start paying for commissions on your own.

Another question on the 2% commission. Lets say I find a scalp I like all at matchbook. Do you take the 2% commission on the winning bet overall, thus reducing my scalp by 2 cents, or just 2% on the profit that was made on the scalp?

Cubsmac, you'll be happy to know that Matchbook only takes a commission on the *net profit* that you made on the scalp, not on the winning leg of your scalp. Makes a big difference, doesn't it?

Ah, ok. Thank you for the reply.

I have one more question, then. Since y'all are taking 2% of our winnings should we win, then would it be correct to just subtract two points from whatever odds we will be offering / accepting to gain our "true" odds?

For instance, let's say I took Denver at -3 at +105. Would it be correct to just say that if I won, then it would be at +103 instead?
