Hi Phigment: Commission credits are given to you dollar for dollar against any transaction fees you pay. Once you have commission credits in your account, they automatically offset any commissions you are charged going forward. So in your transaction report, you'll see one line indicating the commission fee and another line indicating the commission credit rebate.

We haven't forgotten about your firewall issues; our programmers are so square they still think of Saturday and Sunday as the "weekend," so they haven't had time to address this yet.

Thanks. The transaction report is exaclty what I was looking for. Sorry I didn't look there before asking my question.

I look forward to a response to the firewall issues.

Matchbook: With NCAA Basketball, a number of games are listed with 20c spreads -- Is this the best your market makers would agree to this early in the season?

Ignore that, seems I caught the level 2 orders as they were going in rather than the level 1 orders.

last night during MNF was my first experience with "livebetting". Very cool and fun. After kickoff and Philly scored a TD and Dallas followed up by going three and out and punting, I was able to get Dallas +2.5 +180.

Sometime in the 2nd quarter I made two more bets: Dallas ML +310 and Dallas ML +320.

I ended up getting lucky because when it seemed as though Philly was going to win I attempted to buy back my stakes by getting on a Philly ML -500, but just as I pressed the button on my mouse to confirm the action, the signal on my modem went out and the wager wasn't processed.

Spent the next amount of time on the phone with the tech guy and by the time I checked the score it was 21-20, Dallas; who went on the win the freakin' game, lol.

I just deposited the $100 and was charged a fee of $4.90 which was given back as a commission credit. My question is do I get credit for a $100 deposit or just a $95.10 deposit? I did this so I could wager the $100 and then do a withdrawal.

The 4.90 is credited in commission credits.. Out of every winning bet they take 2 percent.. Instead of them taking this out of your winnings they take it from the commission credits.

You get credited for a $100 deposit.............95.10 in betting funds and $4.90 in commission credits.

Your $50 will be added within 24 hours.

Again, inform them of this on their live chat.

I understand the commission credit part. I just want to be sure I will be credited with a $100 deposit so that I can wager the $100 and then make a withdrawal. I already received the free $50 and turned it into $537. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply but I do understand this. I see you did a withdrawal and it was sent FedEx. Were you charged the 28.50 fee for FedEx?

I hear that. I will probably just do the Neteller thing because I don't want to pay that fee plus I do not want to wait over 3 weeks for regular airmail.

Congratulations, Tenman--turning $50 into $537 is no small feat. Not to torment you, but imagine if you'd started with $5,000 .... By the way, Fishhead is right (as usual). We treat your initial $100 deposit as a qualifying one, even though a transaction fee has been deducted from it.

Phigment: Some very preliminary advice on your connection issues. First, make sure that your browser has not been changed to block cookies or disable javascript. Here are some instructions:

As for Norton Internet Security, it might be conflicting with another firewall you are using. I didn't realize this, but Windows XP already comes with its own firewall. Out of curiosity, I downloaded the Norton package that you have onto my Windows XP laptop, and it immediately started blocking both IM and Skype. So you might want to check whether you really need to run both firewalls.

I know that's not a complete answer, but it's a start. I'm expecting a more detailed analysis of Norton firewall's interaction with Matchbook before long.

Is the offer for free $50 still valid ? I have a friend to send over, if so.
