Kruser- give the kid a break...you ever come to a forum looking for advice?

Hahhaa, yup! That was hell!

Thanks for digging up some dirt though.

-As I said, my previous statement was a little harsh. . but I still stand by the fact that he is being a lazy fucking kid. I guess I am just sick of the continuous laziness of this society anymore. It is just everywhere you look. You know we set a record this year as the lowest production rates reached? It is clear everywhere you go, from the convenience store with the kid who won't hang up the phone to ring you up, to America's "Problem with Obesity" or should I say America's problem with eating 20,000 calories a fucking day. It is shown in college by kids who can't even go to class they ARE PAYING thousands of dollars for to kids who can't even get themselves to complete highschool. Once again, sorry for coming off harsh in my previous post, but this shit has started to annoy the hell out of me especially the last few months.

-Sure I was down huge to a bookie, 3 years ago. I am not sure of many gamblers who never have been. Coming to a Gambling forum asking for help with a gambling debt is a little different, but maybe thats just me.

P.S - I am glad I went through what I did. I worked my ass off that semester to pay that bookie back while taking 16.5 credits. Paid him back and got a 3.5 Gpa.

Interesting thread from 2004... and one fascinating thing that caught my eye was how 3 of the early replies are now banned posters, LOL, and Omnivorous Frog replied in there as well. I see several still great posters also providing good advice back then.

Kruser, I'm glad that you have overcome that mountain from that low point in your life (if that's an accurate description). This is a good example of where people *DO* change, but most people have the "mind-set" that 80-90% of people in same situations "never really fully recovers". Glad to see that you're doing good as you are in the minority on that then!

Now, just keep in mind that sometimes, when I read your posts, they do come out as "quite blunt" and "brash" sometimes. Especially through cyberspace, it's hard to tell whether a person is being a prick, sarcastic, or simply frustrated with patterns like you are trying to say, ya know?

Then you end up clarifying or having to defend yourself when people misunderstood your intention... the cycle continues, etc.

Dang, I babble... but that old thread was a good read to see that you listened to good advice (and didn't go all-in on that $2K debt as I believe it would have been a loss by like 1.5 points based on reactions in that thread; total landed on 59 when the play was Under 57.5??).

Cheers,

* CalvinTy
