I got a 1.6 my first semester at college... no worries brother... always time to make it up... I know have a 3.1 and I am only in my second semester of my sophomore year... School is a blast and you can still enjoy it...
Honestly what I would tell you... IS GO TO CLASS EVERYDAY... that is the easiest thing to do...
Because if you go to class everyday and take notes... it will decrease your studying time by about 5-10 hours a week... and so then you will have those 5-10 hours to party... because you know you aren't partying when you should be at class because classes are on weekdays during the middle of the day...
So I would say go to class and if you go everyday you can most likely get by with a 2.5 without really doing anything out side of that... if that is all you want..

Documentation is crucial at most universities. The sick excuse is very hard to pull off now.
I see 2 options here and they've already been mentioned several times in this thread...drop if you know there's no way the grades can be saved and start fresh in the summer or if your grades can be salvaged just bust your ass to catch up. Dropping the classes would mean a lot of wasted money and maybe an ass chewing by the parents but could be the best bet.
It is still Feb. You got a long time to make this shit up. Most of the time profs will be willing to give you a second chance. If you missed a test, maybe they will give you the opportunity to take it at half credit. Same goes for assignments or papers. Chances are you have only missed 20% of the coursework, leaving 80% still out there for you to attain. Pull a B grade the rest of the way, you still could pull off C's or D's overall.
GPA isnt all it is cracked up to be anyways. I pulled the same shit you did nearly every semester, got a 2.45 gpa. Graduated, applied for 3 jobs, got 1 interview, got hired immediately and have been there happily for a year. Now my GPA is meaningless. All from the same school as Kruser.
