The Field at -150 would be a good bet.

Surely could get better than +150 hedging every series once the playoffs started. If Kobe's case doesnt go well, the hedging could return a great profit.

There is a thread up about this at MW. Apparently Carib never agreed to cancel the bets and this guy has been charging back at many books. Just a scam.

wait until you hear from General or McIrish, after they've heard the tapes

you can already see above that they have seen the memos, and McIrish confirmed that these memos start to validate what I've said

if and when they hear the tapes and report what they've heard, people like you will start to warm up to the concept of factual documentation

I can't think of many people who's word carries more weight with me than Scotty, however even if this guy is a liar and a cheat we need to find out what went on here. That is where I am in this right now. We can argue he deserves to get beat out of his money all day long and even if that's your personal view we still need to find out for the rest of us what the truth is. If a book is taking shots at players and sitting on wagers to see if they win or not before they cancel them than that could be a problem.

To be clear I am a LONG way from believing CARIB did anything wrong in this. I'm just stating that even a liar deserves to be at least heard when the accusations could affect all of us. This will be my last comment for a while until we get something of substance to report on this. Thanks.

The Carib and Bowman's allegations should be treated as entirely separate issues. The facts of the case need to examined rather than the credibility of the person making the claim.

P.S., truthteller, your comment about God only holds if God rewards the faithful and punishes the skeptical. Maybe he's tired of spending time with folks who just want to suck up.

Even if he charged back to a different book than Carib, the facts as to what happened exactly at Carib needs to be heard in its entirely separate from any other incidents.

OJ may have done it but he's still got rights.

If my book were doing this to their customers, no matter how bad/deserving the customer was based on his behavior with other books, I'd want to know about it.

as recently as Sunday all those memos were there, which is how I got the screenshots, but by now Carib has deleted them

smells like bad faith, no?

if you didn't receive from me this latest screenshot of the deletions, please let me know and I'll send it again

This is a weird one because I am torn on it in a lot of ways. Here's what I am getting so far. The player is not Mr Clean, he has charged back in the past and they seem certain about it being him. They might feel he is probably going to do it here as well if he needs to. However CARIB has been acting suspiciously to me in all this. I hate to say it but it sure seems that way. If you think he is a thief and that is why this went down the way it did than post to it. Ever since he sent me a copy of the screen shots I have never heard another word. It shows on them that if he did not send the information by the end of the day the bets would be cancelled. Both sides agree the information was never provided so why weren't the bet cancelled? I don't think it's unreasonable for players to ask what is going on.

I had asked at the beginning to hear the tapes but I was told that would be a "lot of work". I didn't push the issue at that time as I didn't realize he had it in writing the bet would be cancelled. After hearing from Joy that they would be in touch with me the next day I have not heard one word since. In fact I have reminded them every other day or so by e-mail about this. Not a word back and I have sent at least 4 more e-mails since. I have been super busy but I am personally curious on what went down here. This could be a serious issue so I will keep bugging them until we get an answer. When I hear something I will post to it.

By the way suspicious may be a strong word when describing CARIB's actions (or nonaction) but they were easy to get hold of and quick to respond until I sent them the screen shots the player had. It sure seems that way. Frankly I have no idea what the standard procedure is (if there is one) on how off shore books deal with players they think have scammed or charged back in the past. Maybe the feeling is these guys don't deserve to be treated like everyone else. What if someone had a chargeback but it was a legit action taken by the player? If this player is getting punished for charging back then let us know. If you stand by the bets were never cancelled to begin with that story seems flimsy based on the screen shots he has in his possession. Not so much for this guy (if he is the scammer) as for everyone else, what went on in this whole ordeal? Would take 2 minutes to explain it and put it to rest. If not I will keep sending the e-mails.

The player did have a screenshot which clearly stated that if he did not send the info, They(Carib) would cancel his wager.
