UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL A WAGER BE CANCELLED AFTER IT STARTED, AFTER 4 GAMES BE FOR REAL,lol! You were pissed and new you had a losing wager coming your way and wanted a way out! Yes Carib does ask for your last 4 digits of your ss# but its for your own protection!
KUDOS to THE RX!

you sound like you know it all

so please explain to me why Carib sent me a memo after the Yanks were up 2-1 saying that if I didn't send them add'l docs by nightfall, my wagers would be cancelled

FKM - We will certainly get involved until this thing is decided upon. I just noticed that Sting had wrote me on some of this earlier which can't hurt you either. Most of this will come down to the tape actually but the more we know the better it is. I am sure CARIB will do the right thing. If they told you that over the phone then it should happen for you. If a book waits until the series is over to cancel then that would be an extremely dirty thing to do. All my contacts with CARIB have been positive and I don't think they would ever resort to that.

Try and be patient, in these things players want it resolved yesterday and books want to deal with it tomorrow. LOL. Good luck today with your wagers.

Pat, yes I did talk to Sting, as I trust him to lend me an ear and consider this fairly (from both sides)

if we can merely rely on the tapes, and you say Carib will be honorable, then I have no worries and I can be patient

P.S. how did you know I had wagers going today?

jls626,

You say Carib does ask for the last 4 numbers from ss # , but it is for your own protection.

Would you be so kind as to explain this to me. Maybe my elevator is not reaching the top floor today.
Thank You.

OLDMANTIME.
Its only the last 4 #, not your 9 digit #!I'm sure if you are afraid of anyone getting your ss# you shouldn't be gambling over seas! Aren't your ss3 included on your netteller account and with all credit cards??

fkm,
Have no idea why Carib would say that! REALLY makes no sense that they would let you cancell after 4 games! I know nothing at all, just a gambler with opinions!

fkm,

Just curious- do you have any documented communication to or from Carib from when you received the voicemail saying your bet would be cancelled (series was tied 2-2) and when the series was over?

If so, and you or Carib repeated your position that the bet should be cancelled, then you definitely cannot be accused of "sitting on the fence". I can see where others are coming from.... you get confirmation that your bet should be cancelled but when you login you see that your bet is still an open bet... most people would consitently call/email the book to make sure the bet is never graded, whereas someone who is "sitting on the fence" might just wait out the bet to see if it happens to win they'll just say nothing.

Just trying to view all sides.

in the other forum where I posted this, someone asked if I had ever charged back and I said 'no'

if this is what you consider 'exposed', you just might be braindead

Take the Vegas outlook to this ... all bets are final and are not subject to cancellation!! ALL books say this.

The fact that a CS rep said they would cancel it subject to review doesnt mean anything ... except that you got crappy customer service.

Would you have posted if you won the bet? Or yould you have given them your last 4 and cashed out?

Just how I see it....

my name is common and there are 200 people in my state alone who share it

then again, I've read plenty at RX about how far Major will go to help out his partner books, so I shouldn't be surprised that he'd take a couple books at their word without even asking to hear tapes or substantiate his accusations, etc

and even if what he said were true, would that give Carib license to steal?
