Luck has the best situation imaginable. He's played with a great D... He has always had a OL... He has extremely talented WRs.... He plays in the worst division in football by a mile... IMO, he's at the pinnacle of his career...

Media just loves him. Every one assumes he's the best. Tonight Gruden said "he's barely missed any passes" When he was 22 of 42... Only missed 20 completions....

You are out of your mind? Best situation?

Great D??
Good OL??? He gets hit more than a $20 hooker.

How can you say the AFC South is bad?

It's like Roy Jones Jr used to say "They say I ain't beat nobody, I just make em look like nobody!"

Ok the AFC South really does suck, but I figured I needed a comment of my own to match Defyings insanity in this thread

You're saying the AFC South Doesn't Suck??

Big Ben lost at home to Tampa Bay and barely beat Jax in Florida. Then comes back and has back to back 6 TD games.

Like Gruden said tonight "If you don't come prepared and ready to play, anything can happen" (something like that)

There was a thread started a couple weeks ago, top 3 teams in the NFL today. Most said Dallas, Denver and .....

what a difference 2 weeks make

He's good , best young qb in game obviously.. I just get tired of hearing about his qb stats.. Youngest to this, quickest to this, most of these in a row etc etc

these qb stats mean zero when compared to anything that took place even 5 years ago

Definitely, although the OL is improving. Especially the running game.

His first 2 years it was 1 of the worst units in the league.

Extremely talented WRs? After Allen's hip injury and Wayne tore his ACL last year they had Luck producing with guys off the street. That team had no business winning 11 games.

down 38-10 comeback vs KC was a legendary playoff moment for a guy in his 2nd year

11-5... 6-0 Against TEN, JAX, HOU... 5-5 rest of league

Clearly the best qb 25 and under. In my mind Luck, Newton, and Tannehill are the only ones worth building a franchise around and maybe Bridgewater. He is easily better than either of those guys. A lot more than just talent at the qb position goes into winning a super bowl so maybe Defying will turn out to be right, but at this point in his career he has the best shot of any of the younger qb's.

If 32 GMs were polled and we'll say 300 scouts. What % do you think would take Tannehill over Luck?

I'm willing to concede you might know something the rest of us don't but how unique of an opinion do you think this is?

Maybe 1% side with you max? I think decent chances its 0

More than 1% obviously... Yeah I definitely like Tannehill... but I don't like Luck...

He misses a lot of throws... He holds the ball... He can make every throw.. He has the legs... but he just doesn't pass the eye test.

He's been crowned the next Manning by just about everyone, to your point.... And for what? Bunch of yards and TDs... I'm not saying he's bad... I'm saying he's not top tier.. and I don't think he ever will be...

I think the fact that Tannehills completion ratio is higher would SHOCK 99% of NFL fans... He gets to play the JAGS, TITANS 4x a year. Inflated. overhyped.

I know I would get massacred for this thread.

Best Way I can put it, if Athletes were Stocks, Luck would be 3x overvalued. The world has already accepted he's the next manning and going to win Multiple SBs and that irks me. No way you can BUY Luck stock that high and the fact the entire world has...

"And for what? Bunch of yards and TDs...."

That's kinda the object of the game....Looked pretty good vs teams like Bengals, Ravens this year but I guess that was because of that stacked Colts offensive line and all their weapons.

I dunno I'd be surprised if it was higher than 1%....maybe if I'm way off its like 3% amongst coaches, personel, front office people

So you will go on record and say Luck will be the best of his ERA and will win multiple SBs?

How do I go from getting Luck vs the field for a 15 year period which includes players I haven't even seen play yet when you said Ryan Tannehill is better than him and he'll never win a SB.

Bit of goal posting moving there? Just a tad?

I have a poster in mind right now who I think hacked your account...A good poster but known for hyperbole...

That is Indy's O/U win total last 3 years. Must be really overrated the free world didn't even think he could win 10 games in the worst division in the NFL. If anything he was underrated.

No, it's EXACTLY my point.
You all, and media included, has crowned Luck as the best of his Era Already... It's so frustrating to me.

I dunno who is gonna come along but of the current QBs in the NFL I think he is the best young QB and that is pretty much consensus opinion. You should change "you all and media" to include GMs, coaches, scouts, anyone else with a credentialed opinion etc. I know it sounds worse when you say it like that but if you want to accurately portray just who is "overrating" him, right now it would have to be the entire football world if he were indeed overrated.

Also why be frustrated? If everyone is overrating him just means betting opportunity. You should want there to be as many ass backwards perceptions/opinions in the sports world as possible. Eventually the eye in the sky don't lie....

No one needs to be crowned... He is. Absolutely he is.
