I am sorry about your frustration. I assure you we are following the rules we have always had for 10 years. Let me try to clear up a few things.

First of all, we are not part of the tracks parimutual pool. That is why we must have posted limits on exotics. What if you had a $10 trifecta on one that paid one million at the track? Do you think any sportsbook would pay you 10 million? Of course not. That is why we post our limits on exotics.

As far as the statement all payouts are BASED on actual track payouts,
that is clear up any confusion customers might have if they bet a horse whose morning line is 10-1 We want to make sure they understand they will get the amount the horse pays at the track=not 10-1. I hope this clears things up.

most books that i have accounts with have a section with horse payouts and max odds

some of then are harder to find then others..

like cascade for one example

Like match the 11G and 5X rollover. Or free blowjobs for 365 days ;

I'd suggest that WSEX also add an asterisk or, better yet, change
the statement completely.

This thread is not good advertizing for WSEX.

Ted I am surprised you are siding with WSEX here. I do see the rules on their site. However on their homepage they have the Kentucky Derby in the sidebar. When you click on this link like most would, you would see the page I posted a screenshot of. If they do not payout track odds on everything, they under no circumstances should be posting:

"Payouts based on actual track payouts." especially towards the top of the page with no sort of * or sidenote to read any sort of fineprint.

WOW....just came across this thread.......I still do not understand the whole thing completely, however I do understand that Smokey got screwed. How can other sportsbooks pay the $11,400, but a supposed top book like WSEX can only pay $600????????? Just does not make sense.

I cant speak for everyone, however I can surely say that I will never play with WSEX again.

Here's hoping that Chuck gets the money that he won and deserves. :toast:

They also have the Kentucky Derby under the Horse Racing menu which shows their horse racing rules. I have used them for horses many, many times but never for exotics because of the ceiling cap. A player has to know the rules before placing a wager. I feel badly for Smokey but the rules are clear.

I will only say this is a lesson to all who Play some sports blindly. Horseracing at every book is looked at and Graded differnt, you have to read the fine print. In my mind there are only 2 places to play the horses, Cris and Pinnacle and I play everyday, like some do here. It sucks to get screwed out of a large payout.

The way it is shown on the page is very fishy imho. If I put that up I would make sure in bold that I made some sort of notice to read info on exotics.

I don't bet horses but if you see where the book pays actual track odds, why do you feel like you have to dig further to make sure you will not get SCREWED? WSEX has gone out of their way to deny someone a big payout if they beat the odds and win. As for people not liking SMOKEY, get over it. He is RIGHT on this matter.I have known Smokey for 5 years and consider him a friend. In the offshore world books can stiff players all they want but they are only as good as their word.
