BUT BECAUSE I GO TO WSEX WHERE I HAVE BEEN FOR 6 YEARS AND HAVE SENT 100'S OF CLIENTS TO I GET $600......

Read the rules and regulations at the bottom of the WSEX site and you will see clearly what I copied above. I feel bad for you, but the book sets their rules and the player needs to know them before making a wager.

upon reflection I do empathize with what happened to you smokey, I might have read their ad the same way & not seen the small print....

it just goes to show how careful you have to be....

on another note, I do beleive they are stand up guys over there at wsex, they should perhaps draw their customers attention to the small print more clearly....

a Tout should have superior knowledge of the industry to justify his price for selling selections, and be well aware of this situation that exists. I knew this and I'm not even a horse player.

I'm genuinely sorry this happened to you, but I see little that can be done to rectify it given the rules.

Some books don't really want the horse action, and won't take a big hit, thus the rules.

If they can't pay say a 100k tri, they put limits in. The book isn't part of the parimutual pool ( usually).

Based on track odds and paying out at track odds are two different things. The payoff is "based" on track odds, but it's capped. The cap applies to the "based" payout.

I can understand you're frustrated, but it still falls on you.

to me when I read that, I read they are trying to say that their odds are the same as track odds.... otherwise, what is the point of posting it at all?

& if they are not saying that, they need to have a star, or a LINK or something like that as a foot note.....

I just looked at their site & clicked on 132nd Kentucky Derby since it is in the sidebar. I see the statement Smokey posted but nowhere on that whole page do I see any * or sidenote noting anything different about payouts.

In this case I side with Smokey.

I would be extremely pissed and I think it is very shady of WSEX to post that at the top of their page. It is very misleading. But since it is right in their rules I do not believe you will ever see that money. Why even offer exotic horse bets like that if you are going to cap it at $600? My guess is that this kind of thing happens often
