Offshoreo...You silver-tongued devil, you. Not having street names did deserve mention here. I wonder how much revenue is lost each year for this country over inefficiency and lost work production hours caused by this little "tradition."

To those whose feelings I've hurt with this thread, don't worry...I'm finally getting out of here. There's no hard feelings on my part. I wish everyone the best of luck and you all have my sympathies for staying in CR.

This thread started on the incredible rise in crime in CR and somehow got into pointing fingers and hurling insults. Since the thread got out of hand, all I really mean to say is that the United States of America is the greatest place in the world to live. Anyone who doesn't believe that can go f*ck themselves.

I'll see you where the streets have names.

Last night I saw "Vanilla Sky" for the first time. It just blew me away...I thought it was phenomenal, extremely powerful. Did anyone else like it as much as me? I don't know why I didn't go see it when it was in the theatres, but I wish I had. I've seen 1000s of movies; this is in top 10. I'll have to drop "House of 1000 Corpses" down to No. 11. (That was a joke)

American, I'm from the states and miss it very much, all my friends and family. But, here in CR has been rewarding for me as well. I plan on being here taking care of BHB for a long time.
BTW, I love Vanilla Sky. I've watched it at least 8-10 times and I always find something different/new everytime I watch it.

I loved the line that David (Cruise's character) says on the roof-top at the movies end...."With each passing moment comes a chance to make it right." That is so true. Sometimes our problems frustrate and confuse us to where we can't come up with solutions and begin to lose hope, when the answers were inside of us all along. We just have to reach into our heart, soul and mind to get them.

I also like how David chose to dive into the struggle of life once again instead of staying in his "Lucid Dream."

Boiler Room is great. I thought about Glenngary Glennross too. Alec Baldwin's "motivational speech" was priceless! So was Ben Affleck's in Boiler Room.

Add "The Big Lebowski" and "Return to Paradise" as well as "Empire of the Sun" (a beautiful film by Spielberg).

Wall Street.

Zoolander was hilarious. "Mugatu" made that movie. Will Farrell is the funniest guy alive, IMO.

I've got to throw a Randy Quade movie into the mix. How about "The Last Detail"? Vintage Nicholson, too.

Tiger...Did you confuse "Vanilla Sky" with "Magnolia"? Your frogs comment has me stumped.

It's not only me. I heard many people complaining including Ticos about the escalating crime in this country.

If this keeps up, CR will be void of tourist soon.

Alitercop, how do you know where I live is cheap? I live in a gated community in Santa Ana. Expensive doesn't mean you are immune to thieves in CR.

I see you have properties in Alajuela and CURRIDABAT 2 places that's haven for thieves.
