Scott, On just about every other subject in here, you are levelheaded, but this one, you get your panties all in a wad. Why?

The fact is, science cannot and does not show that people are born gay, no matter how much you repeat the phrase.

People might be born with a predisposition towards homosexuality, but you have to choose to foster that behavior.

You could say the same thing about pedophilia.

I disagree with this, I think pedophilia is predisposed, pedophiles can't be cured.

B-I-N-G-O. Or they'll make excuses for not following it literally on some things, yet demand absolute literal obedience on other things. Kinda like how they selectively follow the US Constitution.

Um, there is nothing, not 1 single thing, in the US Constitution about marriage.

The fact of the matter is that you idiots actually believe "rights" flow from government.

Which is why you're an idiot.

I find it strange people use the Bible or religion to pick and choose what parts he/she believes. Why don't they believe ALL of it, why do they pick and choose? Did people here come to this site specifically because of the political forum? Yet there are posters here quoting the bible, yet are at a GAMBLING website. I think religion is a bit hypocritical because many quote the Bible when it supports their own beliefs and ignore it when it doesn't.

This is a bunch of BS. People that follow the Bible do believe the whole thing, it's just that there are a lot of people who have no clue what it says, and who it was written to and for. CLUE: The Old Testament law was written for the Jewish people at that time, though it's principles are still valid today. ANOTHER CLUE: It wasn't JUST the OT Mosaic law that condemned homosexuality.

You couldn't accurately quote or explain the bible if there were a $1,000,000 grand prize.

Just think about this, these silly people are calling someone who doesn't want to bake a cake for, or attend, a gay wedding "bigots"

Not someone who wants to stone gays, demonize or arrest them, but be a participant in their wedding.

That's how pathetic and intellectually vacuous their beliefs are.

So in other words, you mentioned the Constitution, you can't reply, so you'll go with that rather pathetic response.

You realize you were better off not beclowning yourself further, right?

No they don't, or all non virgins on their wedding day would be stoned to death. Just one of COUNTLESS examples where people pick and choose, and interpret things the way they choose to. Which is fine, just admit it.

Of course you presented no "example" You know nothing of the Bible, what the words mean, and so you'll go with laughably stupid lies.

Again, you show your complete lack of knowledge on the subject - every time you open your mouth about the Bible, you are completely wrong. Why don't
you just admit that you don't have a clue about that which you are pretending to have knowledge?

Now, you are referring to the Mosaic Law which was 2,500 years ago, intended for a small group of people, which NO ONE who has a clue applies to
today, NO ONE - are you clear?

AND, these stipulations had to be in place for the law to apply (clearly spelled out in Deuteronomy):

1) the woman had to be *presented* to her new husband as a virgin
2) the woman had to be *proven* to be other than a virgin (more precisely: the parents had to fail to produce evidence of her virginity)
3) the husband had to charge her with not being a virgin as presented

So, *given* the above 3 requirements, *plus* the additional requirements under Mosaic Law for legal execution, then *if* and *only if* the woman were convicted of the crime *and* *if* and *only if* the judge passed a sentence of death (as he was instructed by Mosaic Law) could the woman be executed.

So *please* stop saying stupid, ignorant things about the Mosaic Law.

It's laughable. And another thing. Posters compare a homosexual act between consenting adults with a pervert who preys on children or a sicko who fucks his dog. They ignore the fact that in the first scenario there is no predator and no victim. So because it is grotesque to them it must be abnormal and a mental disorder. What about guys who prefer their women to be 280+ pounds with multiple layers of fat? Isn't that grotesque to most of us as well? I don't want to nail her, I don't want to watch a porn where she gets nailed anymore than I want to see two men do it. But does that mean she has no right to satisfy her urges? Of course not! And she wasn't even born fat. Although she could be genetically predisposed. Have you ever gone to a restaurant and seen somebody order something so gross that you'd never eat it in a million years? Yet it's that person's favorite food!

We can argue about science all day, just like Gorebal warming. Some will believe it is inborn and some will not. Some will use religious doctrine to condemn them. Some countries will give them life in prison which will bring a twinkle to some poster's eyes. I think it's pretty obvious sexual proclivity is inborn and no one would choose this path as it is a difficult life. But whatever you believe, to wish harm to these people, to bully them, insult them or want them locked away says something really horrible -- about you, not them!

You are proving the point of picking and choosing. I am certainly not a Bible expert, but one doesn't have to be, to EASILY show the picking and choosing nature of those who follow the word. And thank G-D people do pick and choose what to follow, and what to toss, or there would be a lot more people then there have been already in history, killed in the name of the Bible. Just admit it, and move on.
