To List some of the Bands that you are Listing as Overrated !!

Better Yet....The Beatles ????????????????????

The Beatles were a pop and rock group from Liverpool, England. They are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music.[2]
In the United Kingdom, The Beatles released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one. This commercial success was repeated in many other countries; their record company, EMI, estimated that by 1985 they had sold over one billion records worldwide.[3] The Beatles are the best-selling musical act of all time in the United States, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.[4]
In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked The Beatles #1 on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.[5] According to that same magazine, their innovative music and cultural impact helped define the 1960s[2] and their influence on pop culture is still evident today.
The Beatles led the mid-1960s musical "British Invasion" into the United States. Although their initial musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll and homegrown skiffle, the group explored genres ranging from Tin Pan Alley to psychedelic rock. Their clothes, styles, and statements made them trend-setters, while their growing social awareness saw their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s.

rolling stone is a fantastic magazine to base your argument off of. a magazine that claimed the greatest rap album of all time (one of very few albums ever to go diamond) was just barely one of the top 500 albums ever. good credibility. rolling stone is for people that listen to the radio but dont know actually know what they are talking about when it comes to music so they let people that know even less tell them about it

Nirvana is very overrated IMO. They are just as famous for bringing a new style of music to the forefront than their actual tunes. PS, Teen Spirit is a classic, but I don't like much of their stuff beyond that. Still, they were innovators.

Right on. Cobaine died at the peak of his popularity, who knows what he would be if he was still alive this whole time. Really think grunge would have come down to Earth as pop/rap has dominated the music scene this decade.

Have to disagree with this my friend...they are one of the few rock bands I'll listen to.

They sound like angels...Champagne Supernova...love it...was at the Commodore when people started throwing shoes and coins...made them walk off stage...very disappointed.

I'll say any Canadian Band that gets big because of Canadian Content regulations...Nickleback I'm looking in your direction

hard to get anyone to agree here because of age. i would say bands that made a bunch of records but had a handful or less of decent songs on them would be considered overrated. maybe someone could post a list of the top 50 or 100 rated bands by rolling stone or some other source, then we could pick from the list. im too tired to do it now.

hard to argue music with anyone...

thats why mainstream music will continue to get overplayed.. hard to please all the people all the time..

biggest mistakes in music in the last 10 - 15 years
the boy band craze.. the female pop artist phase (which is still in effect)

and the largest mistake in music.. the imitation gangster rap that is mainstream or trying to be.. anyone with comcast please use MusicChoice for your persual

Sure I will get some haters here but PINK FLOYD!
So they had a few songs to do drugs to..so what??
The majority of the people I know, that claim to be pink floyd fans, can only name 4-5 songs by them.
So you can watch wizard of oz while watching "The wall" who cares??
I love music from that era and have hundreds of cds from that time but Pink Floyd is way overated IMO.
