Woods up to 6th in world rankings

Tiger Woods' victory Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, his first on the PGA Tour since his scandal broke in 2009, moved the former No. 1 back into the top 10 in this week's world rankings.

Woods, now a seven-time winner at Bay Hill, rose 12 places to No. 6 this week.

Luke Donald remained in first, followed by Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer and Steve Stricker. Woods was next at six, then Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, who dipped one to No. 7.

Justin Rose held on to the eighth spot, but Webb Simpson fell two to ninth. Adam Scott, down one from last week, rounded out the top 10.

Jason Day and Dustin Johnson both dropped a place each. Graeme McDowell, who finished second to Woods at the Arnold Palmer, shot up four to 13th. Hunter Mahan and Phil Mickelson both slipped two to 14th and 15th, respectively.

Bill Haas fell one to No. 16, while Matt Kuchar and Bubba Watson both sank two. Nick Watney and Keegan Bradley completed the top 20 for the second week in a row.

i guess my opinion 7 years ago when I started this post has proven pretty true ! There’s no question he was one of the greatest golfers of all time but he’s not the greatest golfer today ! Way too many bettors have been throwing their Money away for a long time still remembering the 4 straight majors he once won !
