between Burnett, Wandy, Liriano, da Burgh is the place to go for an aging vet pitcher to revitalize his career.

if they could get another Wandy type pitcher that they have control over for a few years at the deadline I think they could contend.

Whats the latest on Morton's Tommy John recovery

Morton has had a couple rehab starts in AAA the last few weeks. about 8 rehab appearances all in all.

built up to about 5 innings now.

I think 3-4 more weeks. he'll be up, if there are no more set backs

haven't heard any updates. But it kinda had the classic signs of possibly needing Tommy John surgery.

which is a very very very bad scenario for the Pirates, because Wandy has a player option on his contract. If he is seriously injured he will surely take it and get paid a steep price, for a half season at best.
