Pirates at 51-44. They won their 51st game last year on Sept 19th. That went along with 98 loses. They have 44 loses now, 54 less than last year with those 51 wins. Amazing.

i was gonna say, damn you must be thrilled!!!

I was at the game last night and what a blast!

Fans were into the game late.......standing, clapping, yelling,etc......

1-0 victory.

Reminded me of 1992 all over again. Lol. Fun times nonetheless after 18 shitty years.

This team cant hit though man. They have to add 2 sticks at the deadline, plus get Doumit and Alvarez back.

They can trade G JOnes & Overbay and some of their pitching to get some solid hitters.

Brew-Crew still the faves to win this division as their lineup is stacked, plus Bucs cant beat them.

Just hope it comes down to the wire at the end. Will be fun.

Their owner is pissed that he spent some of his revenue from the Yanks and Red Sox for Lee and Ludwig. He wanted to redo his pool with that money. That's the last time that will happen. Look out below.

Smoke and mirrors. Kudos to beating teams they should though!

Pittsburgh is 15-6 vs. Chicago and Houston this season. Let's include the Reds in there; after all, Cincinnati is a game under .500. The Pirates are 20-7 vs. the Astros, Cubs and Reds. That means Pittsburgh has gone 21-30 against the rest of the NL

They'll host the Reds for three, then take on the Cardinals this weekend at PNC Park. After that the Pirates go to Atlanta for four, and to Philadelphia for three. Compared to what they've been facing lately, this will be a tougher patch of schedule for the Pirates.

Should know a lot about the Pirates within the next 2 weeks.
RIP - ^<<^
The Pirates, who led the division by a half-game July 19, have lost 10 consecutive games and 15 of their last 18 to fall to 54-59. They suddenly trail the Brewers by 10 games. The fairy tale ended abruptly.
