Wooohoo! Lol

I dont expect it to last, but what a hell of a job Clint Hurdle and his staff, especially the pitching coach has done! So many injuries too and Hurdle has literally picked guys off the street and plugged them into the lineup.

Buccos finally developed some exciting young players after 18 years of hell.

I wouldnt mind them making a deal to land a power hitting 1B,3B, or OF. Lord knows they need some sticks. Maybe they could package a SP and Overbay for a power hitting 27 or 28 year old that can hit 30+ HR's.

This pitching staff has been pitching way over their heads and Ive been waiting for it to come crashing down, but it hasnt and we are almost 4 months into the season.

While I dont expect the Buccos to win the division, the NL Central does suck, so anything is possible.

Die-hard Philly fan but love in Morgantown, WV so the buccos have sort of become my second child (been to 20 games at PNC in the last 3 years) and it's exciting to watch this team rally together and play solid ball. It's a good time for them to be playing well as it all be ensures guys like McCutch, Tabata, Hanrahan won't be going anywhere like how the Buccos normally fire-sale all their talent.

Smoke and mirrors. Kudos to beating teams they should though!

Pittsburgh is 15-6 vs. Chicago and Houston this season. Let's include the Reds in there; after all, Cincinnati is a game under .500. The Pirates are 20-7 vs. the Astros, Cubs and Reds. That means Pittsburgh has gone 21-30 against the rest of the NL

They'll host the Reds for three, then take on the Cardinals this weekend at PNC Park. After that the Pirates go to Atlanta for four, and to Philadelphia for three. Compared to what they've been facing lately, this will be a tougher patch of schedule for the Pirates.

Should know a lot about the Pirates within the next 2 weeks.

Next two weeks will let all of us know where they stand. Id like to see them add Ramirez for a couple years, or Pence if they can.

They better not get Beltran, Pena or Willigham............they need a guy that can hit for average and power both, not one or the other IMO.

i'm loving every second of this - i watch every game unless i'm busy, always rooting, always a fan. but i won't be a 100% believer this year UNLESS our front office goes and gets us a bat...because down the stretch, you won't be successful getting like 4 hits a game.

Pirates at 51-44. They won their 51st game last year on Sept 19th. That went along with 98 loses. They have 44 loses now, 54 less than last year with those 51 wins. Amazing.

thats incredible. wonder what the biggest one year win improvement in MLB history is? think the Braves had around 30 one year. Pitt could crush that. im almost ready to throw in the towel as a Reds fan, just dont let the Cardinals win it
