Yall should see a movie called "Double Down" it stars Jason Priestly... it was straight to video but its pretty good. It deals with a bunch of sports gamblers who bet through their local bookies. I recommend it just because it deals directly with sports gambling.

I haven't seen many of these listed or have forgot. I will copy the list and try to see some. I do mostly westerns when they catch my eye. I may even watch The Lone Ranger here and there over a ballgame LOL.

Thanks

A movie about former QB Art Schlicter's gambling problems would make for an interesting movie. Who would play the lead?

Biggest upset of the night was when I saw deniro's name as the last post in this thread and not seeing him post about Casino being his favorite gambling movie. How can you not say this bobby?? Casino was great and you were great in it.. 2nd best gambling movie by far, right behind The Gambler.. Some great sports gambling scenes in this movie like when they say how good a handicapper he was and how much money he made for the boys in Kansas City.. Priceless. We all wanted to be like Ace, and some of us here are probably like him now, which is why this was a great movie..

Axel Freid owed about 10k before he went to vegas. Then he owed like 45k after he bet 15k on 3 games. He bet Ucla, Harvard and Georgia Tech

This isn't really a gambling movie, per se, but "Lost in America" deserves honorable mention just for the roulette scene alone...Julie Hegarty's character: "22, 22, c'mon 22." And then Albert Brooks go to the casino boss and tries to convince him that it would be great public relations to give them their money back because it would be like "Macy's in Miracle on 34th Street."

Mondo man - It was $44,000. Remember he wrote it in the sand when he and his mother were out for a swim?

Money Kings

Freddie Prinze, Lauren Holly, and Peter Falk as the bookie. Not the greatest movie, but it is about a bookie i guess.

'House of Games' is a great movie but I wouldn't call it a gambling movie by any stretch though it has that poker scene. I really like David Mamet films in general.
