This is just grazy. I know that Filippo is able to keep the ball in the game but with his serve this is just amazing. He is doing for Roger what Nadal and Canas have done for him. Returning the ball and Roger making the mistakes. Last time they met on clay Filippo took a set but never saw this coming.

Filippo leading now in the second set 3-1.

Federer looks absolutely awful. Poor first serve, no forehand, no backhand, countless unforced errors. Filippo and the crowd seem to also be shocked. The second game against Canas, Federer had a spell where he played some unbelievable tennis, but he panicked and Canas' defence got to him. But, something is seriously wrong with him today. There hasn't been a sight of any quality from him.

Thanks Hope, Berdych really gave a lesson for Jose :toast:

Lucie started her match well but looking the stats I think the better player won.

I do not know what I should think about Volandri now. Beating Gabashvili, Gasquet and now his greatest win so far over Federer. The most people say Federer playd very badly what is partly true imo but you can not forget that Volandri played great match. If there was no that last match I would be strongly with Berdych but now I will take Berdych -179 with medium stakes. Volandri will lose so much with his serves against Tommy's power and that is a huge difference in that level. It would not be if Tommy would suck on clay but he is good on this surface and moving well as a big player so I am again with Berdych.

Also thought about Nadal but his odds are too low and I am more intrested in the odds of Novak but not believing he can do the surprise even he has the game to do that but we will see.

Gonzalez has not showed anything great so maby Chela can beat him but not liking the odds. Davydenko against Robredo match should be retty even so maby taking Davydenko later with smaller stake.

Finland was clearly worse team than Russia but great goalkeeper and fighting spirit took over the skill in this case. There is no doubt which team is the favourite tomorrow but if Finland is able to stop Canada at the start what Sweden could not do today it will be a close match. I believe we will not see so many goals, if we will see it will be Canada who is making goals but maby the audience is on Finland's side and Finland has a few hours longer rest.

Going to the "homestudio" of my friend to watch the game and taking some beer, hoping that we will see a great and dramatic match. Good luck for both teams.

Hamburg should be the slowest of the clay Masters tournament. Some favourites should have easy jobs today: Gasquet -450 over Gaudio. Gaston has now classy opponent and he has not showed anything why he would have chances. Almagro -1100 over Verkerk. Too low odds for me to play this as a single but maby in the parlay. Ferrer -1300 over Bjorkman. Bjorkman very bad on slower surfaces and at Hamburg 0-4. Soderling -424 over Ginepri. Soderling with his heavy hits should have no problems with the struggling american who struggles even more on the slow surface.

Gicquel +115 over Simon. Their meetings are 3-1 for Gicquel but all on the faster surfaces what was advantage for Gicquel because his better serve and Simon has better results from clay than other surfaces. Simon right now a bit overrated imo because he beated Murray, coming from injury and tired Canas last week. This match is for me pretty even so I am taking the bigger odd.

It was Gicquel's first match on this tournament and horrible result for him. Sorry if anybody followed, that bet was so doomed.

For the rest of the day I like Almagro +161 over Robredo. I have nothing to add what Rhino said in his thread. Robredo not playing on his level always as he should and for a defensive player like Robredo playing against a good attacker on clay who knows what he is doing is always hard thing to do. I think Robredo is rightly favoured but no way this much. If Almagro is able to do no easy errors this match-up should look very good for him.

Had some doubts about Almagro after the first set tiebreak but after that Nicolas showed some power and won the match.

Kohl -108 getting pretty big odds against Andreev tomorrow. Their head to head is 3-0 for Andreev in straight sets but one game was on 2004 and other two on 2005. Andreev was playing then definately better tennis than now and Kohl was more like a tourist on major events, 12-25. Kohl has gone forward from that and at this year seems like he has made a superjump forward so I am not scared to that head to head record and Kohl who is 12-2 in his last 14 matches on clay should be something like -150 for me. I will take 10/10 stake.

Other match I like is Mathieu +123 over Gonzalez. P-H was playing great tennis before he had some illness against Gasquet at Estoril and now he has come trough qualies. In his first qualies match he lost a set for Julian Reister which seems bad for me but it was the first match after he retired his match. I would say Gonzo is tired after the last week but I have learned to know Gonzo as a man who does not get tired much when he plays a lot. Now it will be his first match at Hamburg but he played partly nice tennis at Rome. I just do not see this court so good for Gonzo even he has the weapons to beat almost anybody with his huge forehand but P-H matches pretty well against him giving some work for Gonzo's backhand, P-H has won their last two meetings at this year, their earlier meetings are for Gonzo 2-1 in pretty thight matches. I think this is almost even match, maby P-H slightly favourite but taking only medium stake.

Great amount of matches tomorrow if there will be no rain, 83 if I counted right. One match I really like tomorrow is Igor Andreev -164 over Andy Roddick. They have met two times 2005 at Wimbledon and 2006 at Indian Wells. Andy was better at Wimbledon in straight sets and Igor was better in three setter at the slow harcourt at US. Andy is not so great on clay but he has his dangerous serve and last year RG was faster than usually but now this lovely rain should have made yhe court slower. Igor has had some good matches lately and I believe he is starting to play better ad better but not as good yet as 2005. Andy's best year at RG was 2001 when he achieved the third round. Igor was not playing last year but before that at third and fourth round. Andy's record at europe on clay is so far 32-26.

83 matches... that's huge....

Andreev is a great player but he made alot of unforced errors in Hamburg. He's suffering from a lack of a consistency. I think a bit of value lies with Roddick seeing as his odds are at +160 or over. You're very right about the rain slowing the courts down. I'll probably think it over tomorrow.

Good luck!

Thanks Rhino, I appreciate your opinion. I just see Andy as a player who is not much without his serve. Usually when he gets a tight match he fights as a hell and makes something like 140mph serves but without that he struggles. The air humidity is high and as far as I understand the ball should not fly as good as it might fly and it is some mph away from andy too.

Other player who gots damage from the slower court is Tursunov but his opponent Di Mauro has lost his last five matches so I am staying away from that.

Samuel Querrey is also much his serve, surely he can do other things too. Now his opponent is pretty unknown for me Laurent Recouderc but this homeland man already beated Mertl, Sluiter and Guzman in qualies but he has not played much against harder opponents and his lack of experience keeps me away from this match.

Jonas Bjorkman has great experience from the best of five matches but he sucks on slower surfaces Peter Luczak has showed great results from the challengers lately, 20-3 and includes tougher clay opponents than Bjorkman so the odds are only -224 but this represents huge value for me. Bjorkman is 8-13 at RG but from 1998 he is only 2-9.

Thanks Rhino. It surely was impressive from Stepanek who has seemed to be in pretty bad form before today's win. This has been the best day for me in livebetting for about two months...I do not say a one bad word even if it rains to the rest of the week :lolBIG:

By the way, Dlouhy and Kohl played a pretty long match. The fifth set 17-15 for Kohl.
