Great call on Andreev aswell. He had quite a lot of unforced errors in the first set, but he got some consistency and his forehand is amazing.

I watched some of Gulbis vs. Henman. First time I've watched Gulbis and he looked unbelievable. Very young Latvian player, only a couple of victories on the ATP tour this year but his performance was terrific. The guy was so versatile, he had a huge serve, some aggressive groundstrokes, a clever dropshot and comfortable volleying. He's playing Montanes tomorrow, so I'm gonna take a punt on him. That means he'll probaby get bageled in straight sets...

Dlouhy is always involved in epic matches. I've made a rule never to bet on him as a favourite as my heart woudn't be able to take it. He had a thriller at the Aussie Open. Can't remember the details, but he was two sets up, blows the next two, loses about 100 match points and then ends up winning something like 16-14.

Good luck tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Gulbis is a great talent but his game suits more to the faster courts imo. Montanes is pretty good on clay and for some time ago there was a Gulbis Ferrero match which I watched trough scoreboard (I had a bet for Gulbis) so I do not know what happened exactly but it seemed to me that Gulbis had many possibilities but his head was too weak that time. Surely Montanes will give at least big fight and I think Gulbis has not big balls enough yet to win match like that against Montanes. Gulbis will need some thight match wins against better opponents before I dare to play him on this surface but on the other surfaces he might be the money. Hopefully I am wrong and Gulbis wins this match, his odds should at least be over +200.

Thanks Hope :toast: ...still just wondering about Jonas Bjorkman...grazy old man...

The first thing I checked when the odds came out was the odds for Ljubicic and Ferrero but both were very low. I took two bigger odds for the day. Vassallo-Arguello +360 to beat Filippo. Everybody knew when the clay season would come Filippo would get better results but now he is overrated imo because of his success at Rome. Federer was not looking so good when he lost for Filippo but win is a win and you will have to appreciate that but Filippo is not really at this moment as good as the odds suggests. VA has had some struggling lately but he is a good clayplayer and his game suits here very well. Their meetings are 2-1 for Vassallo-Arguello, but I would count only the lastone which VA won in three sets.

Yesterday Stepanek got a nice win over Fernando Gonzalez and he looked good as far as I have heard but his performances has been bad earlier and Fernando has showed some bad signs at this season. Stepanek's opponent is Roger-Vasselin +389 who has the homecourt advantage. RV is not very good on the clay but he is not bad either. The biggest concern for me is how he can handle Stepanek's rises to the net. The Vassallo-Arguello bet is for me more confident than this one.

One more bet I like: Will T. Robredo Win 3-0 ? No +222. This should be easy for Tommy but something like +170 for Tommy not to win 3-0 sounds more right to me. Some devil inside me gave a small stake for Economidis's straight win too at Betfair with +2500.

Will F. Volandri Win 3-0 ? No -132. Now I have maximum stakes in this match. Just not going to believe Filippo can do the job in straight sets. Volandri is not the gretest servicekeeper, great breaker though, but VA can take at least a set relatively easily. This bet just feels too good to be true, hopefully it is.

Good luck with the picks. I'm taking Vassallo straight up. He made a lot of unforced errors yesterday but he's capable of performing well on clay. I think his price is slightly too high.

Roger-Vasselin still fighting and I think it is now almost 50-50 match but not veryhappy with Vassallo-Arguello. This man leads with a break in the first set and serves for the set but screws and loses in the tiebreak. After that luckily a rain delay gives him a chance to gather himself and his game was good...for some time. Other choker was Economidis. Made a break at the start and was leading the game 4-1. I had some business to do when the game was 4-2 in the first set for Economidis and he had a breakpoint...whooa. After I came back in less than two hours the game was over in straight sets and the first set ended 6-4 for Robredo.

Go RV.

VASSELIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNN!

That was a great hit.

I was reallly pissed off for you earlier. I caught the scoreboard every once in a while during the Robredo match, and Eco completely choked. He was up a break in both sets. Big choke with Vassallo aswell especialy considering that Volandri is definitely experiencing a bit of a letdown since Rome.

But Vasselin came through so it's all good!

Good luck tomorrow.

Thanks Rhino. I was not aware Eco had a break lead in the second set too.

For tomorrow I like Massu +207 over Andreev. Andreev the favourite of course with his forehand but Massu is far more dangerous opponent for Andreev what Roddick was so this odd just feels grazy. Roddick was something like +145 even that probably was too low for him but I think Massu should be something like a +150-+180 at least.

Other play I played is Oscar Hernandez +109 over Kohl. Kohl had his marathon match but it should be no problem anymore. Oscar has won their previous meetings pretty convincely and the form what Kohl showed for some time ago seems to be gone.

I am thinking about Serra +243 over Moya but not still decided. Pless should be no harm for Baghdatis and Verdasco should send Tursunov home but their odds are too low for me. Gulbis's chances are if he can do the damage for Montanes's backhand, what is pretty poor but if he is not able to do that the forehand of the Montanes sends the kid home. Montanes has really hard time against opponents who can give the pressure for his backhand. I think we will see very fastly when the match starts which one is going to dominate the game. Ferrer and Djokovic are big favourites and not believing their opponents has bigger chances but probably going to play against their 3-0 wins.

Good Luck :103631605

I agree on all those plays. I was looking at the very same ones. I'm hesitant on Massu and Serra for now. Oscar is a definite play along with Gulbis.

I like Montanes, and he's had a great year. But after watching Gulbis for the first time against a poor Henman, I'm definitely taking Gulbis. I might be making too much of his victory over a finished Henman, but winning in three sets comfortably and having the confidence to change your game during the match takes alot of talent. He looked like a veteran out there, which is terrific for his young age. The key thing I took note of was his ability to generate pace. No matter how Henman hit the ball, he was always able to strike the ball with alot of power, pace, and depth. He was hitting the lines comfortably and had Henman chasing all around the court by constantly hitting early. Just as Henman had him figured out as a purely baseline player, he switched it up and started serve-volleying or attacking the net. I'm hoping that all shows up tomorrow.

It seems like Ivo made a fatal mistake...won the first two sets against Bjorkman. He does not understand that Jonas just gets mad and loves this situation :missingte

...well, only the third set now but I bet Ivo is starting to see dark clouds when Jonas has the fire in his eyes.

Man, I hope you didn't take Gulbis. He's down 5-0 in the first set, won only two points, made 11 unforced errors... My god, almighty!!

Actually I took him in live when he was losing 3-0 and now some more with +1000. I do not know if there is any injury but it seems for me like Gulbis is just giving the set away, he is not really so bad as it seems now...remember Henman match, fingers crossed.
