i'm really scared to take the -2.5 after what happend with TCU and the backdoor cover. i feel like everytime there is a -3 i should take the ML. but it's such a big disadvantage.

I have had two this year. One on Bama against Florida which cashed and the other was Auburn against Georgia which cashed as well.
As I have stated a few times over the year that these are Gems of the Year and I do leave the door open for multiple GOY plays. Normally 2-3 a season.
Good luck

GL on auburn. My play will be on the total. Oregon is a beast that college football has never seen before
Oregon is certainly a beast, but I'm banking on Auburn being the beast that Oregon has not seen before. With Auburn having the 5th toughest strength of schedule and Oregon having the 60th there are big discrepancies between the talent that these teams have played against.

Take the 2.5 and be glad that you got it at that. I feel this line could be over 3 by gametime.
Best of luck to you

Two things at work here. SEC is better than the PAC 10, no doubt. But when handicapping a game like this I throw that out, I am looking at TEAMS, man to man matchups, and offensive and defensive schemes, along with a small aspect of strength of schedule. Auburn has played a brutal schedule while Oregion has not, and that helps with the poise and experience factor in a big and tight game like this one. Something to consider. It WILL play a factor. Now Oregon played UCLA on a Thursday Night game on ESPN, and after capping games 19 years, I had not seen a faster more well oiled machine and dominate performance with flawless execution since the 1995 Nebraska team when they murdered Florida in a title game. What a team Oregon was that night, and the speed was overwhelming. Speed will also play a factor here.

While I have a play on this game and am biting my tounge here alittle, I do not think this is a type of play or wager in your case that warrants a GOY tag, because at days end, those games warrant a huge overlay against the spread and this one could go either way. I mean Stanford was a GOY scenario compared to this hypothetically, because there was evidence that VT had no business against them in that bowl...one team was clearly better....this game is not that type of mis match. For the record Stanford was a top play of mine for that reason.

Just some thoughts, best of luck with your selection.

GOOD LUCK STEWIE:toast:
AUBURN was the first play that i made and the largest. I think the 2 big differences will be Newtons size will be too much for the Ducks defense and the speed of Mcadams and the other Auburn receivers will be way too much for the Ducks secondary. Especially after seeing Zona and even Ore st moving the ball effectively against them. My biggest concern is that i know with Kelly at the helm Oregon will be prepared. He's one of the most innovstive coaches in college football and if i had a choice, I'd love to play for him..Hope we cash:toast:

Stewie, I tend to agree with Auburn here - mainly because of the strength of the OL and DL. I think they will be able to run and stop the run more effectively than Oregon can.

However... I am trying not to be blinded by their last 6 quarters of play, which no one could argue they played their best ball. Do you see any shot at seeing the Auburn that played against Kentucky, or Miss. St., or Clemson, or S. Car Round 1, or 1st half Alabama?

If so, I don't see Oregon being a team that lets their foot off the pedal. I think Auburn has to win the 1H to win the game.

It depends on which Auburn shows up. Last 6 quarters? They cover easy. Regular season? Lose SU.

I actually watched the UCLA/Oregon game as well, my brother-in-law is a GA with the Bruins and played for them. Yes Oregon looked amazing that game, but lets delve a little deeper into their opponent UCLA. UCLA was playing back to back away games with a bye week sandwiched in the middle, which was a recipe for disaster. They had gone from an absolute high (Beating ranked Houston, then Texas, then Washington St....their first Pac-10 win of the season) to an absolute low (beaten by 28 pts to a 2-2 Cal team who's wins came against Cal Davis and Colorado....as you prob already know they went 5-7 for the season)
Yes UCLA lost by 47 at Oregon in a major butt whoopin. But, they lost by 35 at home to Stanford, 28 at Cal and 21 at AZ St.
To compare that game to Nebraska vs Florida is like comparing Apples to Potatoes....not even oranges because at least they are both fruits....There is no comparison. UCLA gave up only 50 total yards less than the worst Defense in the entire NCAA...lets not even talk about the piss poor rush D that gave up over 200 yds per game finishing 107th in the NCAA.
I do agree with a lot of the points you made though....Congrats on your Stanford play and best of luck to you in your future plays.

Best of luck to you. I do believe Auburn is a 2nd half team which is evident by their past performances this season
