Sorry fellas. If there is one team out there that I am most familiar with, it is Auburn. The SEC played well in the Jan 1st games, and I think we will see in the next couple of days that the upper echelon of the conference was far superior to that of other conferences.

All due respect your initial pick sounds more like an emotional pick to me.

As of right now, this is the toughest game to pick out of all the bowl games. Oregon hasnt won a championship game in forever & the SEC is not a good as everyone thought by the showing in the bowl games. I still havent decided on this one but good luck Stew.

The SEC is as good as everyone thought, its just all the talent is in the SEC West. We will have a better gauge after Arkansas and LSU play in their prospective bowl games. Out of 6 teams in the West, 5 teams had 4 or less losses. Something tells me Auburn has been tested this year

Best of luck on the play. You know I will be on the Tigers for quite a bit of my stack as well. Are you going to the game? I can not go. My brother and dad will be there.

GL---WHITY
I will be going to the game. Tix actually came in the mail yesterday. I understand with a little one how hard it is to get away. I was barely able to get to the Outback bowl last year with a 3month old at home, and I live in Tampa!!
Best of luck to you my friend

umm... I guess for people thinking the SEC would go undefeated in bowl games. Pretty sure everyone thought the SEC East was weak this year and they have shown it. The SEC West has held serve in every game and could go 5-0 as a division. I think you should have said "the big 10 is not as good as everyone thought..."
Totally agree, read my response to Computer Group

Very dubious that Auburn will "roll" over Oregon. If anything, it will be a high scoring game. May even go to OT. Last team to score wins IMO.

I'm in PAC-10 country, and I've watched the Ducks play almost every week this season. I've never seen an offense like their's in all my years of watching NCAA football. Fast break football the whole game without giving the opposing D any chance to substitute. In order to grind the Ducks' O to a halt, the Tigers will need to stuff RB LeMichael James cold. Therein lies the key to Auburn's opportunity to win this game IMO.
Good luck Stew! :toast:
Thanks, I agree with the high scoring contest and it will certainly be one of the most fun bowl games in recent memory to watch.
Best of luck to you Incubus!

3- Thanks, but I have actually made money in the past betting against Auburn. I actually won two Goys betting on Alabama last year and I dislike them heavily. When capping, emotion doesn't get in the way with me.

P.S I love how people say, "No offense...but" ....I tried doing that with my wife the other day, "No offense honey, but that dress makes you look a little fat."
Needless to say, she took offense...lol
Best of luck to you!

Glad to see your bowl GOY on Auburn. I bet it a week ago at -3 -120. Now I wish I would have waited until after the Stanford game to maybe get a little better line. Oh well.
Good luck to ya Stewie. WDE

Playing in the PAC10 I don't think Ore has much to worry about in Auburn's passing game, not that its not good but the Pac10 is the conference of QBS and DBs...
I believe Ore is probably a better team than Auburn but what has impressed me about Auburn is not only there schedule but there recent improvement, they are a much better team now than they were 6 weeks ago...

For me this boils down to two questions... Can Oregon handle the size and talent of Auburn in the trenches ? Can Auburn handle the unique fast break blur offense of Oregon specificly the passing game, and for two halfs ?

Im playing:
Auburn 1st half -1 Ill admit I love this... Oregon may come out nervous, and Aub won't tire until the 2nd half.
Ore +3 Fast break blur offense can put up pts in a hurry, very nice offense to have as a dog.
Maybe a play on Ore at the half

Stewie, thanks for the write-up
Good Luck fellas... Cant wait for this one

Best of luck to you and thanks for the input. I would be careful with that 1st half play as 8 of Auburn wins have been come from behind in the 2nd half
