Well we broke our losing streak and picked up our first win of the New Year in the Rose Bowl as Michigan St. held off Stanford.

We've got the Sugar Bowl going tonight and we do have a play.

Let's go over how to bet the Bowl games following the system. Keep in mind that you can also bet each game as a straight bet for the same amount if you so choose. That is why I list ALL eligible games.

But if you want to stick exactly as the system is laid out, you MUST follow the instructions in the PDF below.

I do not write Bet A, Bet B, or Bet C after the games because once we're into the middle of the season what might be your Bet B could be somebody else's Bet A and so on.

Games with an * next to them are the strict system bets. I will list the point spread that I am getting down at (and therefore judging my win percentage on) and starting times next to each game. If you can get a better number, then take it.

If your sportsbook is showing a worse number then you may have to buy a half point or more to get the desired spread. If you choose not to, and bet the game anyway - just be aware that I will be judging my won-loss record at the spread I get.

If there are multiple picks on a given day - if you hit an early game, then the next bet would be a Bet A, and so on. If you aren't sure how to use the system, please check out the PDF below.

Some members choose to bet all of my releases, while others choose to stick to the system exactly as it's laid out below. If there are multiple games going on at once that fit the system, the * lets you know which is the strongest (and therefore the system) play.

All listed start times are EST and I'm going with the most recent times available. Check your sportsbook for any late time changes.
I've also started listing the rotation numbers for games so that should make it easier to find at your sportsbook.

anyone with Steves golf picks

[h=3]STEVE'S SIX PACK PICKS[/h] This week we will only be going with 4 selections (instead of the regular 6) as the field is a reduced one. ****We will be place two units on two of the golfers and one unit on the other two.

Two Units - MARTIN LAIRD 25 TO 1- Martin picked up his third career victory at the Valero Texas Open thanks in large part to his amazing final round of 63. I will be surprised in 2014 if Laird does not make a run at being on this years Ryder Cup team. The big man out of Scotland has all the tools to be a top player, but he just has to continue to gain confidence. He should have plenty of confidence when he steps to the first tee at The Plantation Course based on his past success at The Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
In Laird's first appearance at this tournament (2010) he finished in a tie for fourth, only 4 shots behind the Champions Geoff Ogilvy. Laird followed that up with an even better performance here in 2012, when he finished solo 2nd. Martin has been a sharp shooter with his irons in his two appearances here, averaging over 84% of his Greens in Regulation. Expect Martin to bomb the ball off the tee and give himself plenty of birdie opportunities in Hawaii this week.

Two units - JORDAN SPIETH 21 TO 1- You will see this name on our selections a lot this season. Spieth burst onto the PGA scene last year by gaining full status on the Tour thanks to an amazing victory at the John Deere Classic. Spieth went on to finish second at both the Wyndham Championship and the Tour Championship. He also had the privilege of competing for the United States at the 2013 Presidents Cup. This amazing rookie season has people all ready predicting a major championship in 2014, but I feel his first win could come at the Plantation Course.
Spieth does absolutely everything well, which was very apparent by his 3rd place ranking is the all around statistic last season. This will be a new course but Spieth has shown that he is a very quick learner, and cannot be counted out in any tournament. One stat I think will be key this week is how well Jordan plays the Par 4's. He led the Tour last year in the birdie or better statistic on Par 4's and was 5th in Par 4 Performance. Spieth is a treat to watch on the course and should make us plenty of units in 2014.

HARRIS ENGLISH 20 TO 1- I am very excited about this selection as English has looked terrific over the past few months. Harris will actually enter this weeks tournament on the heels of two victories. English picked up his 2nd singles victory in the 2013 calendar year just over a month ago at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba. English picked up his first PGA Tour victory earlier in 2013 at the Fed EX St Jude Classic, out dueling Phil Mickelson and Scott Stallings down the stretch.

English is from Georgia, and he is already looking forward to playing in his home state at the Masters. He was highly touted out of the University of Georgia but it has taken Harris a few years to get used to life on the PGA Tour. Last season though Harris really came into his own, and in 2014 he will be eying a potential spot on the Ryder Cup team. English has the rare ability to hit the ball a long ways (35th in Driving Distance) and putt the ball extremely well ( 14th for Strokes Gained through Putting). Look for Harris to take advantage of his first of many appearances at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

CHRIS KIRK 33 TO 1 - Kirk will play in his second career Tournament of Champions thanks to a win in his last start. Kirk won the McGladrey Classic thanks to some amazing putting and three rounds of 66. Kirk is another University of Georgia Alum and a player to watch in 2014. Plenty of the other young American golfers get much more exposure, but Kirk has the game to make noise this season. In 2013 Chris ranked 18th for Strokes Gained through Putting, 16th for all around ranking, 2nd in Par 4 performance, and 3rd in scrambling.
Kirk will be confident this week as he will use his T7 finish here in 2012 as a building block. Kirk fired amazing rounds of 66 and 67 but could not overcome and ugly opening round of 75 that year. Kirk hit over 83% of his Greens in Regulation in 2012 here to go along with over 73% of his fairways. It will be a key for Chris this week to continue to be accurate as you will need to go low to win at the Plantation Course.
We will not be doing any head to head selections this week.
