Rangers games record: 2-0

I going with Seattle behind Felix Hernandez today. With the exception of one bad game last year, King Felix handled the Rangers well. Texas' bats hold only a .250 batting average against him. Also, the wind should help keep the ball in the park.

Speaking of wind, it's blowing in from right at 22 mph with gusts. This wind is going to make it hard to go deep. Plus, two good pitchers on the mound. I'm taking the under as well as no score in the 1st inning.

Seattle +110
Sea/Tx Under 8
No score 1st inning

That no score first inning sounds awfully good.. Think I'm golng to join you.

Metfan reporting in...

Got my weekly ass fucking by the yanks last night...
But my mets came thru

2-1 +420
ytd 8-3-1 +$395

like the 2 dogs today first 5

blantons first start..pelfrey has one under his belt..mets put the ball in play attack is working and josh thole has the perfect swing to face blanton..beltran is off and should be moved out of the 4 hole

yanks shoved it up my butt..For the second day in a row, they had 4 runs in 32 innings and did shit against an average starter..Swisher what were you thinking..

not sure if either soriano or rivera will be avail..pavano will come up big and keep it close for 5..

First 5 only: $60 each,,not worth a full bet
mets +120
yanks +140

Here are some Giants thoughts from another poster:

Guys, at the start of this whole thing I mentioned I will do my best to limit homer plays at all costs....which, to date I haven't sided with the gmen yet. Been pretty good with totals. The no play on the gmen comes to an end today as I like linc and the giants to pull off a win in sd.

I'm not a believer in stauffer, although maybe I should be as he's pitched out of his ass the last year. This isn't really a fade of stauffer though as much as its a belief in the giants and their mindset. This is still a group of ragtag, man whoring, pot smoking derelicts (gross generalization I know) that isn't really taking the slow start all that hard. I guess linc is going to bring out some sort of a shoe lace tied, arm ripped off warm up sweatshirt today. Who does that? Belt is mired in a slump and boch is sticking with him and Belt understands slumps. And brian wilson returns from the dl today. The clubhouse isn't pressing, they're not all that worried (although their fans are) and their ace is on the mound. They know they got a bum deal as ws champs opening on the road, but they deal with it. I don't LOVE the giants today, but I like em.

Here are some O's thoughts:

I love that my O's are 4-0, but I think they will finally fall this evening to Verlander and the tigers. Though I have not played the O's ML yet this year, this is the first time I am actually picking them to lose.

I really like Verlander and he has solid numbers against the O's. Throw in that the O's aren't exactly tearing the cover off the ball and I think it's a solid play. Both Lee (I hated this pickup) and Vlad are really struggling and Brian Roberts is really carrying this team offensively right now. The O's are 4-0 because they have out pitched their opponent in all four games. I think that stops today.

I am a fan of Bergesen, but not in this spot. He tends to struggle early in the year and I don't think the O's offense will produce much today, so he would have to be great to win today.

Here are some Royals thoughts:

Royals playing with confidence. Liking what I see. Problem right now is staring pitching outside of Francis has been dreadful. Bullpen shaping up really well right now, might have the most underrated pen in all of baseball.

Bottom of the lineup is atrocious, just count 3 automatic outs when you have the likes of Escobar, Treanor, and Getz.

Escobar is a future gold glove shortstop, if not this year. Made a SportsCenter highlight play in extra innings to save the Royals. Deep in the hole turn and put a lot on a throw deep in the hole. His range and arm are phenomenal. Team playing with confidence it seems and chemistry. Mike Aviles really struggling right now at the plate. Alex Gordon hitting well out of the 3 spot and I think it says a lot that the Royals have him hitting there after having some struggles and issues with injuries. Definitely a backable team when you can get a decent outing from the starter (that really is the problem).

Just got the Text from ESPN - Giants are activating Brian Wilson from the DL before today's game vs the Padres. Good news for Frisco's Pen.

Metsfan, you aren't bothered by Pelfreys bad 1st start/spring and his horrible numbers at Citizen Bank? I know he had some success vs PHI in NY, but he always struggled vs them @PHI....not sure if it's just their small ballpark or if he even struggles with their mound or something like this.

EXCELLENT POINTS..
but right now the mets are on a small high playing this make contact small ball and quite frankly this is more of a play on the offense vs Blanton then the Phillies vs Pelfrey

in my opinion(which is not worth much) without utley and Werth..not reallly scared of this lineup..if this was Halladay (tomorrow) or cliff lee i'd be all over phillies first 5 minus the 1/2 run

Couldn't agree more as you saw my rant above. Rain has started early here in NY.

YOU JUST FIND THAT OUT???? Sunday the bottom of the 4th they are trailing 5-4..he knows he is taking hughes out for Colon..Russ Martin leads off with a double. The fastest player on the team (Brett Gardner) who is also slumping terribly is up..Does he bunt the runner over for Jeter and Teixera? no ..Gardner strikes out and we all scrach our heads:think2:

and then our wallets $$:($$before :pucking:
