Chris Christie might forget how the law works.

The former prosecutor, current New Jersey governor, Donald Trump supporter and one-time presidential hopeful said Friday on WFAN's Boomer & Carton Show in New York that he would have just arrested Tunsil on the spot at the NFL Draft. Shortly before it began, a video of the offensive lineman smoking pot from a bong and gas mask surfaced on his Twitter account, as you may have heard.

When I was a prosecutor, I would’ve gone in and cuffed this guy,” Christie said (via Buzzfeed). “I would’ve been all over it.”

Christie staunchly opposes the legalization of marijuana, but did offer some sympathy for Tunsil, ultimately drafted 13th by the Dolphins.

“Poor kid in that respect. I mean, he did it," Christie said. "But who’s the guy that hates him enough that they had access to the video and put it on?”

How could a prosecutor know so little about law. You can't prove who it is, what he's smoking, or what country the video was taken in. He's got a mouth but no balls

Uh, he took the mask off after smoking. It's kind of obvious who the guy is.

Did you bother to at lease watch the video? I mean it's right there, just click and watch. Or did you just see "Chris Christie" and had to comment?

yeah, but as noted there is no evidence that could be presented at trial that it was marijuana and unlikely they could prove where the action took place.

In those, jurisdictions which still have criminal laws pertaining to marijuana, the language is for "possession....sales...distribution....cultivation...." etc.

One cannot be prosecuted for simply "using" marijuana, which is why I have personally never been concerned about publicly acknowledging my own regular use these past 41 years

Side note....Christie further distances himself from the public at large when he pontificates about arresting someone for anything marijuana related.

It would seem reasonable to predict that when his current term in office ends, he will be relegated back to just another of the many bloated attorneys whose main claim to fame was graduating from a top 20 law school

I have always found it interesting when an athlete gets popped for steroids or drugs, worst case they are looking at a suspension yet the average guy on the street gets caught doing the same thing and he is looking at the scam we call the legal process/ fines/ jail time.

One of the dumbest posts I've ever read.

When you "use" marijuana you are in possession of it which is illegal by federal law and illegal in 48 states.

You are so misinformed and out of your depth it is surreal. But, you admitting to smoking dope for 41 years explains how one arrives at such idiotic posts.

[Now this is the part where the comically misinformed poster replies to something that was never said and/or pretends holding marijuana isn't possession of it. Or something]

It's the prefrontal cortex. Get it right

The prefrontal cortex (PFC) is located in the very front of the brain, just behind the forehead. In charge of abstract thinking and thought analysis, it is also responsible for regulating behavior. This includes mediating conflicting thoughts, making choices between right and wrong, and predicting the probable outcomes of actions or events. This brain area also governs social control, such as suppressing emotional or sexual urges. Since the prefrontal cortex is the brain center responsible for taking in data through the body's senses and deciding on actions, it is most strongly implicated in human qualities like consciousness, general intelligence, and personality.
[h=4]PFC Function[/h]This vital region of the brain regulates thought in terms of both short-term and long-term decision making. It allows humans to plan ahead and create strategies, and also to adjust actions or reactions in changing situations. Additionally, the PFC helps to focus thoughts, which enables people to pay attention, learn, and concentrate on goals. This area is also the part of the brain that allows humans to consider several different yet related lines of thinking when learning or evaluating complex concepts or tasks. The prefrontal cortex also houses active, working memory.

Ok, I'll try to remember that.

Uhhhh the mask still covers half his face when he "takes it off". Watch the video and tell me 100% you know who it is and let's see that shit hold up in court.

Funny how he's for State's rights when it comes to Sportsbetting, but if President said he would you use the FED to arrest legal medical MJ businesses.
