So lot of you guys out there that looked at his power rating & prediction that I have been posting thought this was a stupid bet ..From the replies I was receiving from forum?
PWK RK %ECCO}}}/% GB 6 SEA 1 SEA + 5... SEA not covering spread at -7 1/2 BUT WINNING THE GAME UNDER 7 1/2 POINTS, IAM LOOKING AT THE 1/2 POINT AS A ADVANTAGE IN POINT SPREAD. This is not a press bet with NE -6 1/2 .. money line is only the press bet Seahawks -$305 press to New England -$260. looking to correspond SEA winning under 7 1/2 points with the money line. System Smitty Ryan calculated this game middling point spread with the Seahawks a 75.36% chance of this game under -7.5 on the spread & winning on the money line bet. I hope late Bob Martin[ my mentor] doesn't start turning around in his grave with this bet/LOL!!!!

Great job today. I, personally, thought it was bad money management FOR ME to lay all that action...I just stuck with both MLs today...but loved all of your bets and hope that you are on my pats in the super bowl :)

You crushed it today, Mr. Harry. ( So how good are we for entire NFL season from Week#1 to Week #17 and all through the Wild Card Games, Divisional Games to the Conference Game Sun Dodger. Well buddy its time for all of us that got our load to hit the road. We had a great year in NFL season, and great way to finish. Superbowl to us Sun Dodger is last Harrah group weekend with J.J. Bascus in Reno, Just having a good time cocktailing, Dinner or whatever. Just having fun, betting not a lot of money on Superbowl because we were betting on teams that are there? Some crazy prop bets, visiting our friends that are bookies, gamblers and most of all drinkers!!!LOL!! from all over the country for a final reunion after the NFL season. Then we all go our separate ways until next season. I just want say it was great meeting you Sun Dodger and some other good friends here that were following our picks and wish you all the luck in the world.Hårr¥THëHÄT

That would be the case if you weren't paying 3-1 for Seattle. Now if GB wins straight up, you lose 2 units. If Seattle wins by 8, you lose juice. The only way you make money is if both win...professional handicappers do not bet this way (not to mention playing these huge ML favs in the first place). Bet how you want, but when a bunch of people are following you thinking your some kind of professional...face)(*^%
"Bet how you want"? We did and won !!!!!!!

I'm 56 and have learned a lot things on this site. I hope and pray you stick around so I may have the opportunity to learn even more from you and your friends Harry. I drive a truck over the road for a living and if I ever get back to Vegas again I would cherish the chance to sit down with you boys and even buy you all a drink or two. Please be safe in all that you do this summer!
How a team will perform against the spread in following week of the season is an enormous trap. It's going to be a little tougher 2nd half the season for me. The fact is isolating road teams, road dogs, non-playoff teams vs. playoff teams and teams with a losing record or low margin vs.ones with a high margin from the previous week will be lot more homework for me. Sports Books will adjust inflated lines in some spots especially on non-playoff teams in the second part of the season that are just playing with team pride. My opinion in betting 2nd half season is really watching the money lines because it will have a major impact on the spread with these non-playoff teams. Walk softly and utilize all your past performance, determining your picks is key here.Mr.Hårr¥THëHÄT

Top plays on the weekend are the ones you really need to go after...How a team will perform against the spread in Following week-of The season is an enormous trap. The fact is isolating road teams, road dogs, non-playoff teams vs. playoff teams and teams with a losing record or low margin vs.ones with a high margin from the previous Week is where the line value resides. It's not the dog in the fight; it's the fight in the dog when it comes to football. Certainly that's how upsets can happen," "You get a big play here and there, you get a loose fumble, pick it up and score, things like that. You generally need to get one or two big breaks to get a big upset. If you can get those and not give the other team anything, it can happen."

This has nothing to do with Russell Wilson’s poor play in the NFC championship or Richard Sherman’s injured arm. It doesn’t have a lick to do with Pete Carroll’s coaching strategy or Marshawn Lynch. The opponent won’t matter either. No, the Seattle Seahawks aren’t going to win Super Bowl XLIX because history says they won’t...... They just dominated the Colts and had no cameras! God bless Americas true team. Cowboys didn’t defend this country against the British….The Patriots did!/ LOL!!! LOL!!!LOL!!!! ......Yes !!!!! I have had some cocktails!!!! /LOL/LOL... Just kidding about Patriots !!! LOL... If you are trying to get even because you had been losing all season betting on Superbowl, or trying to predict this match-up betting lot more on this particular game of end games !!! Good luck!!! You picked wrong match up on this game. Why? J.J. Bascus stat's have this game even on a neutral field. There is no percentage or game edge for Handicapper gamblers in our group to pick a winner of this game, a 50/50 shot even with a minute point spread. We asgroup got our load and will be hitting the road with a great winning season.

A group reunion after the NFL season , group weekend with J.J. Bascus in Reno, Just having a good time cocktails, dinner or whatever. Just having fun, because we were betting on teams that are there? There is no percentage in picking a winner in this match-up with any kind of edge. We all will betting on some crazy prop bets [just having fun after long season as winners], visiting our friends that are bookies, gamblers and most of all drinkers!!!LOL!! from all over the country for a final reunion after the NFL season. Here are generally two types of sports gamblers as previously stated in my past thread or post. There are those who pick up the schedule and look at the point spreads for each game and say, "Eight points are too many, I'm betting the underdog," or there are those who will pick up the schedule and compare the point spreads to their own numbers and say, "This team is favored by eight points, yet I only have them winning by three, so I'll bet the underdog." Simply stated, power ratings are numbers that show the projected disparity between teams in points from a mathematical perspective. While the point spread has to factor in public opinion, power ratings do not, and for that reason alone, should be more accurate than the point spread more times than not. The fact that most successful sports bettors will most definitely fall into the second category, tells you all you need to know whether it's worth your time and effort to use power ratings for football as a tool. A very important tool I use in betting the NFL. ~ITS YOUR CALL RX MEMBERS& FRIENDS !!!!!!????~

Just in case you did not know, Bob Martin was the King, the guru of NFL handicapping and the most amazing line maker for all Books and casinos in Nevada and across the US. No embellishment here, He was the original expert of diagnosing NFL football games and hanging those famous "curve lines" out from the plaza. He's practically a legend in that regard.
Harry the Hat, an expert and professional himself, was a colleague of Bob's and most likely has forgotten more than most will know in a lifetime.
Hoping that will help you understand why Harry and his associates with all that experience and their knowledge, (along with the karma that flows) are so successful and profitable making a living at NFL Handicapping.
I would say we are very fortunate that he takes time to bother with us and share his insights. I would hope you would ask him questions about the strategy he uses and how to be a better and smarter player

Didn't Bob Martin die some time back. I remember him, but was most familiar with Sonny Reizner, who I met at the Castaways Hole in the Wal and spoke to him many timesl. What a great guy. He was the one who started the NFL contest, which is now run at the Westgate. I also remember Gene Maday at Little Caesars who would take any action no matter how large. I thought Bob retired after his conviction and died when he was about 82. Those were the days.

I Remember the much-publicized $1 million wager on the 1989 Super Bowl? TDH !!! About Stupak and Maday: Stupak, the owner of Vegas World, who lost the 1987 mayoral election to Ron Lurie. Basically, I saw other things at Little Caesars. Every bum, down and out whore and unemployed, degenerate gambler were given a handout by Gene. He introduced every member of his family, that came in, to everybody in the joint. I use to know Frank Lefty Rosenthal who was sports book manager at Stardust in 70S. J.J.Bascus, System Smitty Ryann Jr. myself use too hang out with Lefty Rosenthal and Bob Martin who told us stories about how the line got ironed out before it was given to the rest of the world. The bar was Thoroughbred lounge owned by Bill Miller[Boxing promoter for strip fight of week at the silver slipper casino on the strip in the 70s} where we use meet. The sportsbook we use you hang out was right next door where we use make our bets Sammie Cohen's Santa Anita Sports Book across street from Stardust in 70s. Maday gave Stupak a 5% break in vigorish, meaning Stupak got the Bengals plus 7 points over the 49ers and had to lay only $1 million plus an additional $50,000 to win $1 million. Stupak’s bet was rejected by other bookies in town (Jimmy Vaccaro was one). Stupak is a poker player who’s won a couple of big-money contests around town. Maday, owned Little Caesars and known as the man who took the biggest sports bets in town, from a hole-in-the-wall operation.” Those were days" TDH !!! Nile County where every whore house that was legal[ where the Chicken Ranch was located] elected a mayor that was a madame of a whore house!!!! LOL!!! LOL!!!! Mr.Hårr¥THëHÄT

PS... Thanks for reading my thread TDH and good luck in NFL season
