I don't really care. I just think Jesse is a total scumbag loser for filing the lawsuit to begin with.

You're right, she didn't act as a single mom to Kyle's kids when he was deployed numerous times while also getting shot at each day. Picking up and moving every three years so unable to establish a career as a working woman.

Military guys will tell you Buster, the wife joins as well when the man joins up. The book is about his life with her as well.

Once again get it right & stop making her out to be some victim as not a penny is coming from her. The insurance policy for the book is where the money is coming from, not her pocket.

Get it right? I"ve read 5 news articles on the decision and none of them make it clear how or where the money will come from. Stop being so dramatic.

From Business Insider - "At least some of that money will be covered by "American Sniper" publisher HarperCollins' insurance policy. Borger said the $1.3 million for unjust enrichment will have to come from the book profits, but Olsen believes the policy will cover all the damages. Borger said he expects both sides will file papers on that and other issues soon."

Borger is Kyle's lawyer and doesn't know where the money will come from but RX Poster EveryGamblersDream does. Interesting.

Lol, witnesses for Ventura said it didn't happen while witnesses for the defendant said it happened. It's funny, most lawyers are outraged with the decision think it will be overturned on appeal.

I'd comment further but may get sued.

Ventura claimed that he was never even in that bar right?

But 11 eye witnesses said they saw him there. Did they also confirm seeing him get punched? Jesse claims he was never even punched.

I don't believe Jesse because it's well known that he lies. He lies about not being a swinger in the 70s and 80s when there are multiple wrestlers that confirm the story. He also lies about about bailing hay while he was a governor. He said he would do it to make end's meat. Give me a fucking break.

Suing a dead man and taking money from his wife and kids is the lowest of all lows.

BTW - some proceeds of this book are going to military families. If even a penny of the proceeds that would go to the families goes to Ventura, he may get killed by a SEAL.

If you're into reading body language he does scratch his upper lip when he says that Jesse went down.

I guess Jesse is in the right but he still comes off bad because the guy is dead and people are focusing on the widow. This interview shows that lawyers prepped him well on how to answer questions. The line about blood thinners and them being drunk and all that. Very prepared.

I met Ventura at a black tie fundraiser/auction 6 years ago. He was walking around in baggy gym pants, a sweatshirt, a baseball cap and orange tennis shoes. He never spoke more than a few words at a time and he just stared at people with a far away look. Man, this dude is fucked up, we all thought it was an act. Clearly, the man is disturbed and not thinking clearly.

Let the insurance company pay his attorney fees and move on. He is getting really bad advice. This will be appealed and drag on for years, with the attorneys being the only winners.

Let me break this down for you.

The $1.8M verdict is split into $500,000 for defamation & $1.3M for unjust enrichment. The book's libel insurance covers covers the $500,000 & book royalties cover the $1.3M. Whatever the royalties do not cover comes from the estate.

So tell me where the book royalties would go if they did not go to Jesse Ventura?

Okay smartass, you kept claiming the money was coming from his widow directly which I just explained was not the case.
