Never lied here. If you can point out something I've lied about, I'm all ears.

You said you judge Presidents only by how well the economy's doing. Yet when it crashed under your Orange messiah, you refuse to bash him and make excuses for him. Again, Obama had pandemics under his watch yet never got a free pass. So why are you giving one to your Orange messiah?

You claim to be an "Independent" who isn't politically biased yet spew the same talking points and rhetoric as the Orange messiah. From his hoax claims to comparing the Coronavirus to auto accidents... sure sounds biased to me.

You also spew a lot of hatred towards people who receive government assistance yet here you are defending it cause it's OK when you receive it.

This is my quote Woodstool and it was directed at poster Knight not Mac but this conversation took place before we knew the eligibility requirements. I can't mail a check I'm not eligible for.

It was the same eligibility then, than it is today.

All good. I'll PM you my address

Nothing wrong with an extra $2,400. I can pay off my local :)

Well, the economy has gone down (not crashed as you put it) but it will rebound. How can I judge an economy's actions based on 2-3 months? Why wouldn't we judge over the entire term a person is President? That doesn't make sense to me.

I'm a Conservative Mango. Of course I'm politically biased. You have me confused with someone else.

I don't like people on welfare that refuse to work. But people that are out of jobs through no fault of their own because of this pandemic need cash now. There's a difference.

This is the last time we will interact here if you continue to call me a liar. I will put you on ignore and forget you exist. I'd rather have a conversation but I'm not going to have my integrity challenged.

Haha. What is the eligibility? Did they end up defining that?

not 100% in stone (same rules as other day)

Married couple under 150k = $2400
Married couple over 190k = no money

Married couple between 150-190k- somewhere between 0 and $2,400

Also $500 a kid max of 2 kids

NOT IN STONE SO PLEASE DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS

If you think about it, that's not a lot of money if you've been out of work for a month or so. It helps though.

no its not. Thats why if you are being taxed on this or have to pay this back, dont take the check if you dont need it (unless you want a 0% interest free loan for a while)

My local owns a bar/restaurant and I owed him about $500 at the time of shut down. He asked if he could get the money right away as he needed cash. I offered to give him an extra $2000 if he credited my account $2500 once it starts up again and he agreed. I just recouped what I owed him.

That isn't what the difference is. Most libertarians support safety nets besides the anarchist loon types, that's a liberal talking point if there ever was one.

Just say you support the federal gov't stepping in with trillions of dollars to bailout corporations with quasi-monopolies anytime the economy gets bad for a month or two.

GOP accepted the argument that money grows on trees a long time ago. And once you do that, the mind can certainly run wild as to how far and wide it can reach.

very well stated

and it doesnt have to be 1200...seriously, anything is appreciated especially as we are completely reliant on funding for fruit/veg these days. It's crazy how much even $100 does for folks. whatever you contribute, i'll match … put "rolltide" in the memo and we'll know it came from this forum (or just include a note for Andi to let Andrea know and she'll inform me) ;)
- i'll then attach a copy of my cashed check by PM but of course I will have to black out the R&T/Acct# so you know i did the same

(this goes for anyone here. if you contribute i will match each individual contribution)
