One more point about the shutdown, Trump did not order it, local officials have. As a matter of fact, Trump refused to order a national shutdown when many were (or are) calling for such. He correctly stated that what's good for NY is not necessarily good for a state like ND (paraphrasing)

He shut down travel, like every other country in the world. But he didn't order businesses to close

I guess i'm sort of in dave007 or patsfan's boat now which is that we're so far gone from a balanced budget and paper currency directly valued to gold that we might as well say fuck it, let's just print print print until the financial system collapses and hope I get my share

I actually don't believe we should do that (or shouldn't have, perhaps now there isn't another option to avoid deflationary spiral), just that is the reality so might as well get busy handicapping what the result of that is. Atleast be cognizant of it as it is a major issue. Safe to say the founding fathers didn't think there would be a group of unelected officials controlling the short-term price of money and buying up corporate and mortgage debt to the tune of 1% of GDP a month.

I gotta get that comment in so when the whole thing collapses I'm not on the hook for endorsing the madness.

Do you believe he should've shut air travel down to/from hot spots like Washington, NY and LA?

It is really a shame that the political arena cannot find two qualified candidates to run for the highest position in the land...we are stuck again voting for the lesser of two evils....

Governors will have the final say. We’ve already closed schools through April in my county so we’re not going to be opening up businesses before that here.

Willie saved. My man Willie has bread. Take note business owners.

In a couple weeks it’s going to be worse in the South. We need about TWO weeks of no positive tests anywhere in order to reopen things. Could take to July.

That’s how far off Trump is. He gives y’all false hope and then you guys get mad and say liberalism is a disease like a broken record. You can’t blame CNN and liberal shit because Trump gave you false hope and you’re upset now

100% accurate, you need to change the channel. Maybe read a little more, and thinking always helps.

The governors shut down businesses in a few states, not all states are closed

Some people want Trump to order a national shutdown, he hasn't

Trump has issued air travel restrictions, just like many other countries

So everything I said was 100% accurate, and you disagree. This is where I shake my head, smirk, and move on.

OK, so what do you do with the millions of people that rely on these corporations for a paycheck?

Here are a few wiser ideas than the poorly planned stimulus (handout).

Have the CEO's who have stolen hundreds of billions take care of them. Kick out people who aren't supposed to be here and that'll provide some jobs. The non-paper assets won't disappear, they'll just change hands. The standard of living is going to decrease here.
