The experiences I had with him as well as the tyears my friends were teammates with him, were well before his MVP days. I can only imagine how much worse it was once he was successful.

More power to him!

His interception only hit the Pakers WR right in the numbers, and then deflected 15 yards down field into the DB'a hands. :103631605

Poor old Brett...his fumble for the Cinci TD shouldn't be counted against him either.

That Cinci defense is like the old Steel Curtain when Brett faces them. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that he sucks these days. :missingte

I agree...I enjoy seeing arrogant pricks fall on their faces and be humbled like this. :103631605

Don't think he is the least bit humbled considering he has accomplished as much as nearly any QB in the history of the game.

I am sure it is humbling to finally here all the negative talk about himself as a QB. If you think he enjoys being this bad, he sure isn't the same competitor he use to be. Losing humbles any competitive athlete...especially when you are a major reason for the losses.

WOW top 5 all time??? Seems really really high number for Brett. Like the guy, guess cause he is such a competitor (probally one of the things that gets him into trouble). But there is alot of QB's I would take over Brett. Best of luck.

(Will not touch a Packer play this year, Brett just scares the hell out of me.)

it sucks being humbled by age and losing...mainly I think because you can pretty much never get back to where you were...very difficult for many people.

Relate his career to mine, not nearly the gambler I once was, but still one of the most successful of all-time and as arrogant/cocky as ever.

What percent of QB's in the history of the game would trade their football accomplishments with Favre?

How many gamblers would trade their lifetime winnings with me?

Answer---Microscopic on both ends.

Let me know when you get so bad you start losing...I think it will change your tune. Past accomplishments don't mean much (nor would the money you made in the past) for your current state of mind once that happens.

Once you quit all together it may be fun to look back on.

No doubt he WAS a great QB. But he sucks...not average or giving his team the ability to win game....he sucks. He should have walked away. Just like I am sure you will do once you start losing the money you made as a gambler.

Perfect comparison actually. :howdy:

actually Green Bay sucks...Favre is just as good as anyone else they could put out there...their offensive liine is just plain terrible...2 rookies starting at guard...long year for whoever is QBing that team. Favre's interceptions last year were almost always tipped balls off receiver's hands and anyone who has played football knows that's not the QB's fault.

I still enjoy watching him struggle though!!

You obviously weren't watching the same Green Bay games I saw.

Every QB is the victim of tipped ball interceptions. Favre single handedly gave away games last season.

Anyone who has played the position also knows when you force balls into areas where the ball shouldn't be thrown, tipped balls will happen a lot more frequently.

Favre has always been a risk taker and has always had one of the best arms in the league.

You guys are going to force me to pull up one of my old threads on Favre as far as the team not being good. They were a decent team last season in every area except for the QB position.

(for Viking: still better than Jason Marquis though)

I still think it's his surrounding cast more than his arm, his ability and his talent.

A lot of old ex NFL QBs still feel Brett is very good too.

3 TIME NFL MVP, yeah he is top 5

I m not even sure anyone was better and certainly not by much.

Elway, Montana, Unitas, Favre, Bradhsaw

Facts are it was a combo of both.

Favre made just HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE decisions game after game last season.

No question the terrible supporting cast around him was much the blame for this, but FAVRE and his fans(myself included) must accept that a lot was brought on by himself too with his terrible decision making.

This team lost a TON of offensive starters to injury last year and were also poorly coached the past few years.

I think FAVRES thumb is bothering him more than he leads on.............as he seems to lose the ball a lot more than 4+ years ago.

Personally, more worried about his fumbling than his interceptions.

the only thing good about GB last year is their defense played better than what was expected. was one of the better in the league. Their offensive line was god awful and is again this year, their running backs all got hurt, their QB had most turnovers of his career, receivers were tipping balls left and right to the other team...Another 3 or 4 win season on the horizon for GB for the same reasons this year.

GB had many many losses by less than 6 pts last year...take a tipped int or fumble away and they have 10 wins

OMG!!!

Time for you to leave this thread as you have lost all credibility with that statement.

If you think that were true, you must believe the PACKERS are the best team in football this year with all the great players they have returning from injury and the additions they made in the off-season via the draft and free agent market.

They had a very good defense last year, but they had virtually NO RECIEVERS.
