The official word from news sources is he died of an overdose from Tylenol and Codeine. What type of Tylenol is unknown to me.

There is only one "type of Tylenol" - aka, acetimenophen.

When combined with codeine (usually 1.5%) it is brand name "Tylenol 3" and moves from an over the counter drug to a Schedule 3 which requires a legal prescription to dispense.

I'm new here-I came across this site while looking for info. on this Bruce Ivins situation.

Michael Scott-I say to ignore the people who are so close-minded and just don't want to open up their minds to the possibilities of what is really going on in this world and the means that the government(s) will go to to achieve their means. We don't even know a small percentage of what is really going on.

As to the doctor's choice of death I totally agree with you-why go through such an agonizing death? This man as a scientist knows the chemical make-up of things-why not use something that converts to cyanide in the body? It's not the best death but at least it would be quicker. I'm sure he could have created all sorts of poisons-why use tylenol and codeine? Nope-doesn't sound right.

We will never know the truth now that the doctor has so conveniently killed himself. Like you said-why now? How would he know that they were moving in at this time? Also, this man is a convenient scapegoat with his mental troubles and such. There's always a convenient patsy hanging around to take the fall in these cases. You gave the example of the other doctor...there have been tons of cases in the U.K. as well where folks have been blamed for various big crimes, terrorist acts etc. and sure enough-they go and 'kill themselves.' Like is there a manual all these people follow or something? Why kill yourself? If you're smart enough to create anthrax or commit big crimes wouldn't you be smart enough to fake your death or take off to some remote location or whatever...but nope: 'the authorities are closing in'-kill yourself.
