When Cassel started for the Pats, I don't think he had started a game since high school and there had to be a reason for that: he simply isn't good, as evidenced by his play since then. As far as making those around you better, Manning has done that far better than Brady. Brady has never had to make his teammates better because he's been surrounded by far better players, especially on defense.

Yeah he played at USC behind Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart. Then played in the NFL behind Tom Brady. Now, he has a 6 year 62 million dollar contract. Where the hell are the other two QB's? He plays for an average team but won AFC offensive player of the month just last November. I think he is better than you think although his team stinks, yet went to the playoffs last year. Not trying to make Cassel something that he isn't just defending him because you think he simply isn't good.

Look, no one is saying Peyton is not worth all the accolades and attention he gets, he deserves it. They have been #1/#2 interchangeable for years now. I'm just so sick of hearing about how Brady had a MUCH better team. It ain't true. They are so close you can rename them Sox/Yanks. So enough with it.

Don't judge me until you have walked a mile in my shoes....

Both are great QB's but if I was the owner of the Patriots I would want Brady. If I owned any of the other teams I would want Manning. With Matt Cassel leading the Patriots to an 11-5 season in Brady's absent it is pretty simple that the Patriots have had better coaching and players than the Colts which elevates Brady's play. Manning makes the team around him better and his coaches job easier. Also Brady and Bellichick likes those individual records and running up scores and padding stats. Manning could care less about that stuff.

Brady won those Superbowls with far superior TEAMS than Manning ever had.Pats defense in those SB years were far better than any D Colts have had during Mannings career.QB alone does not win SB

This is why sb 42 still kills me...tyree doesn't catch that ball of his helmet, and Brady is considered best of all time no questions asked. Add everything together plus perfect season, and resume is bulletproof, just like mj.

Who the fuck would choose 1 SB over 3???????????

They all got sacked too much

All you Manning backers can have him lol

Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Jeff Hostetler, Doug Williams, and Brad Johnson are all better QBs than Dan Marino.

If Brady doesn't receive a gift call from Santa Claus in the snow then he only has two SB's and maybe even less and he isn't even in the discussion.

Thats the way the ball bounces sometimes. He lost the super bowl against the Giants in similar fashion. But you don't want to bring that up.
What did he do that season?? Oh yeah, greatest season by a QB ever...

Oakland won the AFC Championship that year. Nobody won the Super Bowl ! Don't take it personally, I don't recognize Pittsburgh in 06 either when the NFL had their love affair for Betus and had the game fixed. Duke in 91 is also on the list for NCAA going after Tark and UNLV inserting referees to make sure every call went in Duke's favor.

And the US blew up the world trade center
