Thanks for the huge (CLOSEOUT) winner!!!

You’re entitled to opinion but if you think Boston is like Winnipeg your mistakenPut a small move on Blues opening game +145 a few days ago, and then yesterday a very small one on -1.5 +375. To me, +375 is good value, I can see The Blues going in there and coming away with a 3-1, 4-2 win. Sure, Boston is damn good and this is not a strong recommendation. Just that The Blue Note just keep exceeding expectations.
Boston looks like Winnipeg in so many ways and the Blues have the perfect break to refresh, after Tuesday's win. Boston might be a bit "off" at least the first period or two after a very long layoff.
I was stunned by how complimentary the SJ coach was of The Blues, he especially praised the defense.
Did The Blues play tougher playoff competition? IMO, yes, a bit tougher though, it is hard to judge when they are strictly in their own conferences.
Again, in a match up like this you will likely not have a good feel for the matchups until after the first 2 periods (eg can the Blues defensemen deal with the Bruins top lines, speed and ability over and over again?).
We shall see.
GL!
Ok what is difference between “looks like and like”?
Bruins look like Winnipeg? Lmao. Jets were pretenders all year. Bruins will roll in this series
Ok but i was just answering your previous post where you quoted yourself. You gave a good analysis. I honestly believe Boston and St Louis are a better comparison. They are both great defensively and have strong goaltending. It all starts with strong play in their own end. (Both teams). It should be a great series and i expect a lot of low scoring games. I think the lay-off will only affect Boston in first period so they need to weather the storm. That whole theory has been overblown by media. You missed it. The language that matters is "in so many ways". This means that I am not saying "in every way".
Boston - Winnipeg is truly a fair comparison.
Boston 107 pts, Winnipeg 99. The Jets looked like one of the best in the NHL for most of the regular season but, then, coasted and slipped a bit. They were not able to turn it back on and were beaten in the first round by the Blues, including 3 times at their home ice, and Winnipeg is known as one of the toughest venues in the NHL. The question now, for this discussion, is Winnipeg "not that good" or were the Blues, "that good"?
The Bruins and Jets both have equal physical, top notch defensemen, plus outstanding skilled and speedy front lines, but you have to give the edge in goal to Rask with the way he has played in the playoffs thus far. Jets beat Boston twice in the regular season, I think, but that is not what I look at...
Boston deserves to be a slight favorite in the Stanley Cup series, but not -155, that is Vegas compensating for their name brand.
I do not like betting series but I think it is unknown as to how good these teams from different conferences really are and took the Blues for game #1, the Blues continue to exceed expectations. Boston sputtered a bit early but then dominated Carolina. Boston's advantage over the Blues is their power play, Boston's is outstanding, the Blues have struggled though lately have performed a tad better.
GL!

Good luck to Blues and I’m just sad hockey will be over in two weeks. Btw I can read just fine if you were referring to me in that other post. No need to get personal.
Where in that post does it say I thought they would win the Cup? Thought 18-1 was great odds. They ended up choking home ice away against the team that will win the Cup, so clearly it was a good value betYou are the wacko that said Toronto would win The Stanley Cup. They lost. First round. To Boston. Oh...
Hey I said Winnipeg looks like Boston "in so many ways". You cannot read, either... (sigh).
I have not said to bet the Blues for the series, I am going with them first game. Again, you cannot read.
AND I say Winnipeg is a damn good team and the Blues took them apart in the opening round...
AND I started this thread Feb 4th and said the Blues were going to start winning. And I have encouraged others to cautiously keep on The Blues as they proceeded through their remarkable streak. I provided rationale, too.
So go back where you came from.
Leafs 18-1 to win the Cup
Leafs 18-1 to win the Cup Leafs 18-1 to win the Cup

Come on Andersen. Stand on your head a few games. You’ve shown that it’s possible
Blues looked GREAT! Congrats on the two shitty fluke goals, and getting dominated for 85% of the game!!
