Blues tonight, small on ML and in regulation. Not being stubborn, Blues have come back all year after a loss. Sure this might be where they come up short Boston is damn good, too, and are at home.

Blues were down just 3-2 (power play was the difference) with 2 minutes to go (then empty netter), not bad, lots of people think Boston was fortunate to receive all those power plays and should have been penalized a few times more, themselves, a few times.

  • Binnington played well

  • Blues are as fast as Boston

  • The Blues lost first one to SJ and came back despite "hand pass", Blues were down 3-2 to Dallas with arguably the best goalie in the NHL

  • Blues defense is top notch and were hindered by the close game the refs called

  • The Blues shut down the famous #1 Boston line.

  • Dunn might play tonight, that will help a lot

Thompson has been banged up is not himself, though OReilly is getting better from some bad ribs.

Biggest concern is that Boston put much more pressure on Binnington than the Blues put on Rask after the early part of period 2.

BUT, I say, The Blues bounce back, again.

I wish you luck with your Blues bet Serbone. As I see it Blues are in a tough position with how they play against Boston.
Blues are a one dimensional team, they do not score on the rush, they play a dump and grind game. Their special teams are not as good as Boston
Their goalie is not as good as Boston, Boston is a better offensive team. These are the top 2 defensive teams in the playoffs and comparing what the Blues did to San Jose or Dallas is comparing apples to oranges.

I see the Blues winning one game this series if both teams play to their potential

Serbone, a nice job my friend. Your Bounce Back Blues did it yet again. I was so close to pulling the trigger on The Blues in Game 2 at the inflated price or the Blues Adjusted Series Line. Kicking myself. Even when it went to OT, I just felt they were going to win, but the value in the line was obviously gone.

They have a great chance to hoist the Cup, and I think they will. It is tough for me to say and then potentially see as a Blackhawk Fan. With that written, the Blues Franchise deserves to be on the Cup after all these years. Plus if I see another Boston team win anything I am going to vomit. Damn kids in that city just think they hand out championships. An embarrassment of riches.

Back to the Series, I see a split in St. Louis, teams holding serve in Games 5 and 6, and then the Blues winning Game 7 in Boston. How about that!

Cheers!

Blues ML tonight, again.

They were much the better team game 2, but hockey is crazy, it went into OT.

Bruins were outplayed much of the way, were overpowered often by the very very physical Blues. In OT The Bruins were clearly pushed around, were looking over their shoulders to get hit.

Blues probably without Thomas, Dunn, and definitely Sundquist (with a ridiculous suspension). This hurts.

Blues can score off forecheck/turnovers, it's just as good as a strong rush. The Blues D is superior, The Bruins D is not as strong as the narrative. The Bruins top line has been stopped both games, Marchand is top talent but makes mistakes, too. Blues PP is not as good as Bruins, though.

Binnington is arguably as good as Rask.

Again, crazy sport, a puck deflected off a skate, a goalie screened...

Blues D superior lmao

5 on 5: The Blues are up 6-5 for the series. Refs took out Blues best power play defender Sundquist game #3 with a ridiculous one game suspension on a 'lil hit that was not really even a penalty in the opinion of many.

Blues were the very least penalized team in the playoffs coming into The Stanley Cup Finals... then, suddenly vs Boston if they sneeze, that's 2 minutes, almost twice the rate. And the strength of Boston is their PP.

Blues want playoff hockey reffing, hard nosed physical play, but refs are calling everything, especially vs. The Blues.

  • Blues were without 3 starters, 3 impact players, Sundquist and Dunn are back tonight, that will help a lot.
  • Bruins scored 4 goals on 4 power plays, that will not happen again.

  • Blues hit the goal post 2 times that will not happen again.

  • Several Boston goals were deflections, that probably will not happen again.

  • Binnington allowed 5 goals, 2 he should have stopped, that probably will not happen again.
  • Blues seem to bounce back when they are in trouble

Boston is a top club, sure, and Rask is uncanny lately, but I am betting with house money, cleaned up on the Blues since Feb 4, though I have been too cautious cause hockey is a crazy sport to wager on.

SO tonight, Blues ML -115.

GL!

(oops, at breakfast refs called a 2 minute penalty on The Blues, they will be shorthanded at puck drop)

The Blues played their game last night, hard nosed, crisp passing, superior defense, very few mistakes, pressured Boston far more than the other way around. Game 3 was an anomaly.

NOW, Chara is out for the series... he is a good guy, but NO prisoners, just blood, The Cup is on the line, to the death.

SO I already put $$$ on Blues for Thursday night, ML & in regulation. If Grzelcyk is out, too, then I will add $$$ to it, that will be 3 of their top defensemen out, (with Miller).

Blues got a gift last night, but the officiating has been terrible all playoffs so not surprising.

Definitely a tough pill to swallow for Bruins fans :(

In game time speed, ref thought Bozak hit the puck, too, so no penalty. Nobody can see a play like that at game speed.

NBS sports guy former NHL player said the same thing, thought Bozak hit the puck, but then he saw in in super SLO MO, and saw that he did not touch the puck.

If I was a Bruins fan I would think scoring only one goal in a 2-2 Game 5 at home is a tough pill to swallow.

This is being blown out of proportion, Zagruder film II, refs called a few penalties on the Blues for ticky tack things in game 5, again this game, Bruins could not convert.

I agree refs in the playoffs have been a disappointment ("hand pass", the 5 minute major against LV, et al) but east coast media needs to give the Blues some credit. They set up for Chara being out, so an excuse... then he played hurt and they played the narrative over and over and over again how Chara playing would inspire the Bruins (what? were they going to loaf in a game 5, but with Chara they were going to try harder?). Now they get a chance to brand the Blues as bullies again, Sundquist accidentally hit Grzelcyk who's head was tucked and they talk about that hit all day (Sundquist is not a head hunter) while they glorify Krug racing 100 feet to slam Thomas (no charging?). Now Barbshev has to go before committee today for possible suspension, total joke, he did not alter himself, he clipped him, if he was not hunched over, it would been a hit to the chest. Best bet Sunday will be "over" for Blues penalties.

All those shots off the posts, deflections, screened shots, missed breakaways... and ridiculous penalties called or ignored by the refs: hockey is a bad sport to wager upon.

Blues out played bruins last 2 games and deserved to win so it’s no one is crying wolf here.

But that was a clear and obvious penalty any way you look at it. Ref blew it.
Dont need to make excuse for him not calling it. Is what it is.

Should have an asterisk on the Cup if Blues win. Anyone defending that missed called is a moron. “Game speed” lmao wow it’s just amazing that calls are made at all with that rational
