Blues tonight, small on ML and in regulation. Not being stubborn, Blues have come back all year after a loss. Sure this might be where they come up short Boston is damn good, too, and are at home.
Blues were down just 3-2 (power play was the difference) with 2 minutes to go (then empty netter), not bad, lots of people think Boston was fortunate to receive all those power plays and should have been penalized a few times more, themselves, a few times.
- Blues are as fast as Boston
- The Blues lost first one to SJ and came back despite "hand pass", Blues were down 3-2 to Dallas with arguably the best goalie in the NHL
- Blues defense is top notch and were hindered by the close game the refs called
- The Blues shut down the famous #1 Boston line.
- Dunn might play tonight, that will help a lot
Thompson has been banged up is not himself, though OReilly is getting better from some bad ribs.
Biggest concern is that Boston put much more pressure on Binnington than the Blues put on Rask after the early part of period 2.
BUT, I say, The Blues bounce back, again.
GL!
