I would love to see it but seriously, how crazy would LV be if you had a super Saturday 8 team playoff with 4 games kicking off at 1100 and moving West every 4 hours. Would it be bigger than the first weekend of March Madness?

1500 Oklahoma vs Penn State
1900 Bama vs OSU
2300 UGA vs USC

Great Sounding to me. I hope those are EASTERN Time Starts or we'd be keeping some Easterners up pretty late. Gimme UCF vs. USC instead. They'd have stilled snubbed UCF though, within your scenario cuz they'd've used Wisconsin instead.

COULD be Bigger than 1st Weekend of March Madness though: hard to imagine it actually would be due to sheer Volume of games with BBall

Sucks for fans. Rewards Bama for playing FCS schools and no true OOC road games. No incentive for Bama to change. Reward poor scheduling for the fans and they will keep scheduling Mercer and will never play in a hostile environment.

They need to get rid of this committee and have auto berths for conference champs and let the committee rank them, that is all they should do. That is why I prefer the NFL, no excuses. Win your division and you are in the playoffs. None of this figure skating judge shit to determine who wins the gold medal. Settle it on the field.
