Thoughts? This is going to be a tough conviction despite the black community yelling about a black man being shot unarmed in his own apartment.

What makes you say this is going to be a tough conviction?
I think the jury is going to deliberate for about 4 hours before finding her guilty.
She was not acting in an official capacity as a police officer. She was not in reasonable fear for imminent danger or death. She was grossly irresponsible and completely wrong.
To give you an analogous story: A man was dating a woman with a violent ex-husband. The ex husband left multiple messages on the man's answering machine saying he's coming over there to harm the both of them. The crazy ex came to the man's home and was pounding on and kicking the door saying "I'm going to kill you"
The man fired a shot through the door killing the crazy ex.
Outcome: he was charged with manslaughter and convinced.
