using deadly force is a serious thing. cant just go shooting people who are not showing aggression. even if they are in ur residence. a cop should know this. amazing pitch black but she nailed the target twice. I call bullshit. somehow there is more to this story. she was messed up on something or had some issue with this neighbor
Agreed!.....in NY 2 cops were walking up the stairs of apt building and a guy was walking down the stairs, when they met the cop got scared and shot n killed the guy.....when you givethese cops who are cowards a gun, they act like kids with a new toy....WTF happened to using you best weapon,,,a brain

Yep, sure have. Then I panicked and shot my gawd damn window out. Lol

You seriously just like to argue.

Thats the first thing I thought of when I read the story. Granted, I’ve never walked into the wrong house but I have pulled on the wrong car door handle before. I don’t think my first instinct would be to pull out a gun and shoot at someone either but I’m also not a 115 pound woman.

Well, yeah you can if someone enters your home but that’s not the case in this particular situation.

I read they took a blood test too which is pretty standard in a cop involved shooting.

That was a real tragedy ! Unfortunately, the fake liberal news media will focus on a white Cop killing an unarmed innocent black man. What annoys the fake news media is that the Police Officer was a women. They wish it were a white male Cop caz this is how those bastards roll! Very sad incident indeed! Just my opinion.

Well, murder (as in first degree pre-meditated) is harsh. If it happened how she said it did (I doubt that it did) I'd say negligent homicide.

Have you ever had a moment where you pull on the handle of a car in a parking lot thinking it’s your car but it isn’t your car?

Again, not unless I was really hammered. I don't see how that happens? I just don't see it if you're sober. Being tired is no excuse either. I just don't understand it but I am very curious how this one plays out. I do believe she has to be punished. Jail time. I just can't make up my mind if it's manslaughter or murder. I mean one can make all the excuses they want for the cop but in the end the other person died in their own house for no good reason. Jail time.

I would have to agree with this then.

8+ years? Over or under

Over....Lock city

They will make an example out of her.

Color has nothing to do with it.

She walked into someone's home and shot them dead.

You don't get a slap on the wrist for that.

Bread and water.

Interesting things the dude had in his apartment. No way she planted it. Lol

According to a search warrant affidavit released on Thursday, police seized two fired cartridge casings, one laptop, a ballistic police vest, a backpack with police equipment and paperwork, two radio frequency identification keys, 10.4 grams of marijuana (equal to less than half an ounce) and a marijuana grinder, among other things, from Jean’s apartment.

It definitely seems crazy that this unfortunate and improbable sequence of events unfolded.
1. She parks on wrong floor
2. She doesn't recognize it isn't her apartment
3. Door is unlocked/slightly open
4. Apartment is dark.

Those are long odds.

While it seems that her story is BS, the fact that she called 9-11 immediately and said it was the wrong apartment is good evidence she isn't lying.

I really don’t know what to believe. On one hand, her story seems totally plausible to me but that said, she was still grossly negligent.

I don't know how she didn't notice the red mat he had in front of his door. I lived in a high rise apartment for years with similar features (same floor parking, units all look the same) and the mat was always the first thing I noticed. If there was a red mat in front of my door, it would stick out like a sore thumb.
