I defend my myself before my stuff, and sometimes the best course of action to defend myself, even if I have a gun in a knife fight, is to escape. If I am home alone (KEVIN!) and someone breaks in, I pop a round into them and they fall down my stairs, I get the F out and call the police. I sure as hell ain't going down the stairs to see if they have anything to say (or shoot me with).

You are dead wrong. If someone breaks into your home, picks up your TV and runs out the front door, you cannot shoot them in the back as they run away. And if you shoot someone, you must stop once the threat has been stopped.
Hey, maybe they deserved to get shot for breaking in but once you are shot once and on the ground and not moving, the situation is over. Nobody will try to rob him because he's going to jail, deserves to go to jail and will never be let out.

This guy was a shady fvck...Why did he have so much drugs, and cash lying around and make himself an easy target if he was robbed so many times? Were the other robberies reported to police?
