And that's the main reason he's being outgunned. Why do you suppose the Repubs in Congress turned their back to him?

We agree on most of this Dave.. Maybe I am a half glass full guy.. The further he goes with this issue , I believe he gains more and more public support. Its not like he's doing this with fucking Iran like the traitor did with the pen

Red Eye, that was legit you put your neck out like that in the OS thread. Not easy to be the guy stating uncomfortable truths when others don't want to and when emotions are involved.

I've been in those shoes before and decided to let you do the heavy lifting on that 1. Much respect.

Out of 438 people in Congress, the good guys had about 150 or so on their side.

I don't think there's much you can do with those odds.

The government is infiltrated with open-border globalists and socialists.

Actually 535 men and women in the US Congress.

May be less in your country of Canada.

And yes, representative government can be a frequent pain for those in the heavy minority

The least he could have done is read
the bill before signing it.

You still have not caught on that while admittedly snide, my signature block does accurately note that Tiny reads at about a fourth grade level. He has not read a single daily intelligence briefing in over 30 months (first one was given to him in Aug of 2016). And you think he will even sniff a 1000 pages of anything?

The only way this is going to work is Trump ignores the inevitable court rulings
for him to stop building the wall and just plows ahead. I'll even go so far as to
say I bet there's wording in the bill that he just signed into law to hinder it from
being built.

Correct.

While guys like RedEye who subscribe to the Q channel on Youtube might insist otherwise, the US Congress since Jan 3, 2017 has not authorized even a single dollar for construction of a border wall.

Among his many thousands of lies, Tiny's most flagrant gaslight attempts have come in recent weeks as he screeched "Finish The Wall!!". In fact, no Wall has even been funded during his time as POTUS.

The federal court will issue a TRO on Tiny's FakeEmergency and while his poor fucks in the WH legal team attempt to cobble supporting arguments no new construction of "Wall" will occur.

As for Trump "plowing ahead" in literal defiance of federal court rulings, no way. He is too much of a coward when lacking leverage and as you, Dave, accurately note he has literally no leverage remaining

I think the bill he did just sign included money for 55 miles of actual new barriers. This will be the first actual new “wall” since Trump became President. All the other talk by him about the wall already being built has been renovations of already existing fencing. Trumps “fake news” is ok to these guys. They don’t care if he lies.

The bottom line is that the amount of undocumented illegal aliens that come to this country probably isn't going down anytime soon.

There are stuff that isn't even talked about anymore that would be way more important than a physical barrier.

-Mandated e-verify

-Ending birthright citizenship

-Enforcement of visa overstays

All this stuff would curb the illegal population way more and none of it is on the table. I don't even see this stuff mentioned on boards like this despite the fact people seem to be ardent supporters of restricting illegal immigration. All they care about is a wall that would make a marginal difference at best if not coupled with these other reforms.

Ive said before a complete wall will takes years if not decades to fully complete and then many more years before it really shows any results. We need to do things right now that have a more immediate affect on immigration like the things you mention. I’m not against building a wall but I’m against putting it ahead of other things that can be done cheaper and more easily first that will definitely have an immediate impact.

Here is the thing about deal making, the people you are dealing with have to like and trust you, or you have to have leverage against the people you are dealing with...He isn't a likable or trustworthy person and he has 0 leverage because he is an overall unpopular president.

If the old existing fence is being renovated , its not a fence anymore , and its probably affective.... supposedly pictures of this is out there.. haven't seen them yet , but doubt its fake news

I know because Trump had to move the goal posts since he knew he couldn’t get what he originally promised. And by complete wall I am talking about completing anything they want done. It’s 13 years since they started the original barriers from the Bush era and that still isn’t 100% complete. And most of that was on government land so was easy to do. There are a lot more obstacles now so who knows how long it will take but it could be decades to totally complete.

And now he is declaring a national emergency, even though he said he doesn’t need to(odd thing to say if there truly is a crisis) which won’t sit well with many Republicans. He might have good intentions but he isn’t very smart and has now proven he is very weak.

other presidents didn't have the resolve on this issue.. my best guess is , a lot of wall will go up with the money he has and will have.. I don't compare what Trump is going to do with Obamafraud or Bush .. Trump has 3 times the IQ of either of those fools... Trump has been dealing with obstacles like this his whole life n his business , we will get better results..

Someday one has to fill me in of why they believe this president is so intelligent. He stumbles to even talk coherently, when his policies or ideas are challenged, instead of staying calm and on point he will ridicule and demean. He always has come across as a rich brat that has tried to portray the Gordan Gekko character from wall street. From the way he dresses to living in an apartment made of gold(or at lest to look like gold). He has always seemed to me to be an act...he plays the part of what a poor person thinks of how a rich person should live and act.

I guess I just don't get it, when talking about elites, it is what he has been inspiring to be his entire life...and has been doing his best to play the part for acceptance.

You're pretty much towing the liberal collusion company line.. You avoid the policies and the successes.. focus on the nonsense.. maybe it doesn't take much intelligence to erase Obama legacy and go more with an America First agenda.. that's what we get.. BTW , great posting with the BAS situation.

He is 1 inch taller and weighs 1 pound more than I do. So technically I'm considered obese.
Although I like to think of myself as burly. :)

You're just big-boned
