Nash+Marion+KG=Dream Team

Meaning, they still may lose but no team can match talent wise. They are going to dominate the league, this is going to be men vs. boys. This is my assessment. The history will tell.

Jim Gray says he spoke with Amare tonight and he has been told by management he won't be traded to the Hawks. Technically meaning he could be traded to another team...but when it's all said and done, Marion will be the one moved imo

Garnett is definitely the better player. Not sure I'd do the trade because of the age difference, but there is no doubt Garnett is better. Amare works great in the system as well but you gotta remember his stats are way inflated because the Suns are a team that is geared to stat stuffing.

I have waded through all of this elongated crap that everyone has written and I am going to greatly simplify it for the lay people.

I believe the question is:

Why would the Phoenix Suns trade Amare for KG?

The Accurate Answer:

Because the Suns would like to have a chance to win an NBA Championship?

p.s. they can forget about winning a championship until the real dream team dissolves

The Real Dream Team

Duncan
Parker
Ginobli/Finley
Horry
Oberto/Elson

Love ya Gyno, but I'll call bullshit all day and night on that statement.

They've proven in recent years they can't beat top defensive teams in the playoffs. Losing Amare for one game wasn't what turned that series. They were lucky to be in it at all.

have to agree with jake thompson. the suns have proven that they cannot beat the spurs when it counts. Kg may give them a chance, but I doubt it

The bottom line is , KG gives the Suns a better chance to win against the Spurs than Amare does. Thus a better chance at winning a title. This may not be the case in say 3-5 years from now. But chances are in 3-5 years from now 2 time MVP Steve Nash will be threading no look lasers to his sons in the backyard opposed to his All-star Forwards on the hardwood and with that being said, Phoenix's window of opportunity for a title will have greatly closed. The time is now for the Suns, this trade may not go through and probably won't. But Phoenix is by no means out of line or their senses for entertaining or proposing such an idea.

Are you blind? Show me where they were lucky to be in the series? They only lost game 5 because they ran out of gas for basically playing 7 on 10 the entire game. Last I check they were dominating that game until the last few minutes.

Seriously Jake you can't seriously walk around thinking they were lucky to be in it.

Damn, McHale is now calling up the Bobcats.
Minnesota would get the #8 pick and an "undisclosed" player.
Phoenix gets KG
Charlotte gets Stoudemire

Is it just me or is Minnesota now acting desperate? They don't HAVE to trade Garnett right now.
It just seems to me that getting the #8 pick and salary cap relief is really a pittance when trading your franchise player.
