Right. I have Royal at 6, which is the equivalent of an SBR's C. Was talking his language, to make sure he gets it

Buzz, let me know what you are having a hard time with and I will walk you through it :D

Royal is a C+ book IMO, They have recovered from brutal management (marty monroe, SBR affiliate deal and the rest of the texan crew) They then had to go through a year and a half of SBR trying to collect for Marty on money that wasnt owed by publicly posting utter bullshit. John you remember when Marty asked you to post that they were closing and leaving curacao in the middle of the night last March?

Royal has come a long way dispite continuous attempts from OTHERS to bring them down.

Royal pays.

Just great SHRINK!! :nono5:

Would not be surprised to see SBR go to the A-Z rating system now.

SBR would probably rate ROYAL around a X+ grade i would reckon...........TOW's 6 rating would equate to a J- on this scale.

I know you guys don't want to hear this BUT...

ALL OF YOU have contributed in a VERY POSITIVE MANNER within the realm of offshore sports betting and I have tremendous respect for what each has accomplished...

Aside from some personality differences, it helps the gamblers to read the vast array of opinions you have...

But, the most important fact not to forget, is that ALL of YOU are REALLY on the SAME SIDE and when a sports book doesn't do right, gamblers can be assured it will be plastered on all of your sites...

Usually, with a mad rush to be FIRST....

Amen...:drink:

I just get the feeling that if Russ, TOW and Buzz and Shrink were in the same room SOMEONE would lose an EYE, and rather quickly:icon_conf

Not true Dante, we've been in the same room and as Fish has witnessed nothing has gone wrong.

As Ken correctly highlighted we all have different opinions and this surfaces from time to time. Experienced posters easily read through the lines and take advantage of the immense quantity of information threads like this one contain.

This thread is good comedy.

It's a D, it's a D-, it's a C-, who cares??? What difference does it make?

The better question is why is it allowed on this site? Shouldn't a watchdog site strive to take the best out there? Or is the bar set so low that any C+, formerly D- book is welcome?

Thanks Ken. It is pleasure to have a calm voice in the middle of these talks.

We have all been friends off and on through the years. I think in a very strange way its good for the players that we are not too chummy.

We have all been called out in this business and I'm sure it will continue. It's nice to have a site like the Rx (that doesn't ban SBR LOL!) where a player can ask a question and get some pretty good insight. Of course he has to sift through the attacks but the info is there.

Buzz, you are a successful person and although none of us are perfect, I think you do a good job. I have said and still feel that your site is an asset to the players. From my seat, it appears some are a bit envious of your success. Keep up the good work, but why not ignore the garbage like this that is thrown your way? If you just enjoy the bickering, then so be it, but you should try and be the better person here.

Could not disagree with you more Ken. Most of us are on the same side. Not all. I have docs and info that would blow you away in regards to what this guy has tried to pull on various books.

However. I think we can all agree that RX and MW amd TOW try their best even with the inherent bias.

We have our own forums that allow for us to be "check and balanced". Some people stay away from that approach for a very good reason.

But again, as I stated above, I could not disagree with your comment above more stongly and I beleive that over the next year or so it will play out that one person will be the cause of tremendous grief for both players and bookies alike.

In the past this forum has discussed the football season(s) being an appropriate test. If a new sportsbook pops up most of the veteran players recommend waiting to see how they manage a football season. If a book has problems we often look to see how it performs after next foots season.

Royal has shown a pattern of slow-paying when deposits are not coming in. The slow-pays stopped around the time the bonuses were offered for preseason NFL.

Can Royal best their record of most consecutive months (in past couple yrs) without a batch of slow-pays? I hope so but we won’t know until Pedro is a Met and Barry Bonds is wearing a uniform that is way too big.

There are a lot of factors that go into an evaluation and not everyone will agree on what those factors should be. SBR will gladly tell any player what is considered within a specific rating, as Buzzsaw did here, and the player can decide for himself if those factors are important to his decision. Many daily emails address this. One thing we likely all agree on is evaluations should come at appropriate times. Let’s see how Royal does when they assess what is in their pocket after the final overhead and profit numbers are in.

Bill, I have a question in regards to ratings.

A while ago you had Jazz/ABC rated in the top ten. Next thing we knew they were gone. You or someone posted that they were going out of business.

Can you tell me and others that you misled what "critieria" went into that?

Thanks.

Thanks General... I know I should just ignore Russ, everyone else does.

To me this is just a fantastic fun business and yes, I take some satisfaction passing up tools like Russ Hawkins. You and Bill are the two elite special forces guys on the front lines that help players and every book knows it. It's really fun seeing you get guys paid who otherwise would have been stiffed.

I believe that this thread contains sufficient evidence to prove that Royal deserves a higher rating AND an apology for the term "deadbeats" that was recently used by SBR when referring to them.

This thread is not about SBR being a marketing company or Roberto having relatives or Bill Dozer getting paid to collect or whatever else the show biz wants us to put out there.

This thread is about a Sports Book that has been around since 1997, that has gone through extraordinary changes, that ( to be very specific ) has slow paid in 2001 ( yet this was ignored by SBR who was taking a huge and juicy cut out of his generous affiliate deal managed by M.M. ) but that has NEVER EVER stiffed a player.

This thread is about a Sports Book that has salvaged over 500 players stiffed by other books in the last 18 months.

This thread is about respect for one of the oldest brands in the Offshore Industry that has survived all sorts of difficulties and is now sailing in calm waters.

This is what this thread is about : respect.
