If Donald Trump's comments about Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly are hurting his standing in the Republican primary, it's not showing in the numbers.

According to the latest NBC News Online Poll conducted by SurveyMonkey, Trump is at the top of the list of GOP candidates that Republican primary voters would cast a ballot for if the primary were being held right now.

The overnight poll was conducted for 24 hours from Friday evening into Saturday. During that period, Donald Trump stayed in the headlines due to his negative comments about Kelly and was dis-invited from a major conservative gathering in Atlanta.

None of that stopped Trump from coming in at the top of the poll with 23 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz was next on the list with 13 percent.

Could he truly be the Teflon Don?

Why do you guys have a woody for Trump? Is it because he doesn't care about political correctness? He just says crazy shit and doesn't apologize? All of you anti-government guys should actually hate the guy. He's a prime example of a crony capitalist that games the system.

Why should he apologize about his statements on issues when most are on the same page as he. Judge Napolotano was
filling in for Rivera today on 77AM radio in NY and 3 to 1 said Kelly question was unfair while Napolitano tried to cover
& defend Ms. Kelly unnecessary questions. Kelly was jumping for joy after the debate looking for high5's from her
fellow Trump haters after the debate non of substance were coming. When Napolitano signed off he couldn't believe the
blowback. He'll be on Kelly's show tonight, tune in it will probly be the last time I'll watch her show unless she admits to
a serious mistake.

Listen, this idea of Trump says 'Crazy Shit' won't sell. Don Trump putting on the 'populist speak' for now is working,
but when needed this guy can be the most sophisticated, smooth, charming & sophisticated person on the East Coast.
As far as some of the Trump detractors claim that he would call Putin a loser in negotiations, that is pure nonsense.

You got war mongers like Graham, & those trying to seem tough like Rubio & some other candidates suggesting they will
be tougher on Russia than Obama who would get no respect at all from Putin. Only Rand Paul would have a less
adversariel view of Putin than Trump. Trump is no beat the drums war monger,

So essentially you ignored my point about crony capitalism to go on a rant about how Megyn Kelly treated poor Donnie so unfairly. This "tough" SOB can't handle a few difficult questions from a smoke show lawyer and I'm supposed to believe he's fit to be commander in chief? Ha. Funny stuff.

He handled Kelly's questiion perfectly! Kelly was the loser in that one on one watch her tonight with Napitano!
Even after the debate Among Trump supporters, a majority – 54% – said they would vote for him for president
as an independent candidate, even if he does not win the Republican nomination. During the Republican debate,
Trump was met with both boos and cheers from the crowd as he said he would not rule out running as an independent
if he didn’t get the Republican nod. About 1 in 5 Trump supporters said they would support the eventual Republican
while about the same number said it would depend.

'crony capitalism' refers to guys like Bush, Walker & Rubio whose donors have provided them with over 150 million
in order to gain favors from them in the unlikely event of them winning. How much has Trump drawn from the SUPERPACS
that most thought would control this nomination; 0!!!!! At a meeting of the Republican Governors
Association late July in Aspen, Colo. here's what the big donor hoped their candidates would fall for.

'The idea that came up was to urge three leading candidates of the donor class — Jeb Bush, the former
Florida governor; Mr. Walker; and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida — to band together and state that
they would not participate in any debate in which Mr. Trump was present, using his refusal to rule out
a third-party bid as a pretext for taking such a hard line.

Luckily, in the end the campaigns decided not to go along with the idea. Probably fearing a backlash
from Trump supporters who the party would need.Great. However, it’s amazingly — breathtaking, really
— stupid that the donors would even suggest this idea.'

I think that crony stuff doesn't work trying to peg in on Trump, it applies better to all those he's
leaving in the dust. The Republicans have a choice nominate Trump or lose!

It’s a long way to Tipperary. Will Trump implode? Maybe, maybe not. First and foremost Trump is a business man. I’m not sure what you mean by crony capitalist but if you mean close relationships between business people and government officials then the same can be said about any successful entrepreneur.

There are no bigger crony capitalists than Obama and Clinton.

If you are going to be wildly successful you have to get in bed with someone sooner or later. The difference is Trump uses his own money were as Obama and Clinton use yours.

I’ve noticed those who don’t care for Trump are the Stasis Quo. There has been a lot of support for Kasich here and I’m not surprised because Kasich is not a Conservative.

If look at his record spending has risen by 18 percent since his first full fiscal year as governor. He expanded Medicaid through Obamacare in Ohio. The expansion has been more than $1 billion over budget in the year-and-a-half since it took effect. Now that he running for President he says he wants to repeal Obamacare, how convenient is that?

I want a true Conservative as president not a Rino, someone with a set.

I like Trump, Cruz and Rubio. I also like Carson, Fiorina and Walker although I don’t think the later are going to make it.

The rest just don’t do it for me.

Trump’s code, which he calls the “1-5-10-15 income tax plan,” is a simplistic way to fix our nation’s broken taxation system, without putting the strain on any particular group of people.
Under Trump’s tax plan, those making up to…

  • $30,000 per year will pay 1 percent in federal income taxes
  • $30,000 to $100,000 will pay 5 percent
  • $100,000 to $1 million will pay 10 percent
  • $1 million or above will pay 15 percent
“It’s clear and fair,” wrote Trump on his tax plan. “Best of all, it can be filled out on the back of a postcard and will save Americans big bucks on accountants and massive amounts of time wasted attempting to decipher the tax code.”

Trump also wrote, “Imagine your paycheck was 40 percent higher than it currently is. What could you do with 40 percent more wealth? How many jobs and opportunities for others could you create?”
“The longer you really think about it the madder you will get,” he wrote, “especially when you consider the waste, fraud, and abuse the federal government traffics in as it inflicts its self-defeating policies on hard-working Americans.”
Trump’s rhetoric on taxes continues to this day. On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Trump stated that he tries to pay as little tax as possible.
“I fight like hell to pay as little as possible, for two reasons. Number one, I am a businessman, and that’s the way you are supposed to do it. And you put the money back in your company and employees and all of that.”
He also added, “But the other reason is that I hate the way our government spends our taxes. I hate the way they waste our money, trillions and trillions of dollars of waste and abuse. And I hate it.” (H/T WND)
Trump’s proposed tax plan is fair and shows real promise at fixing what has arguably become America’s biggest headache. It doesn’t tax the poor to the point of bankruptcy, and it doesn’t punish the rich for being successful

go get'em Mr Trump

I just realized that Carson wasn’t invited to speak at the RedState event in Atlanta over the weekend.

WTF was up with that?

So crony capitalism is all good, so long as you're the guy who has been writing the checks rather than the guy cashing them? Genius logic. I actually pity you, it's going to be hard for you to watch Donald lose, and lose big. This guy has literally zero substance behind him, no plans, just says a bunch of crazy shit and hopes it sticks. How long can you get by stoking people's anger and anti-PC sentiments before you actually need to show an understanding of policy and how to achieve the crazy shit you say you're going to achieve? Guess we will find out.

I like Rubio a lot. He's also got a chance to win a general election. Can't say the same about Trump and Cruz.

Why Rubio? Michael Savage has a nickname for him, the ice cream man, which sounds appropriate.

Also, I don't see a latino winning a general election for a long while.

I don't think charisma is what drives a country, BUT I think it wins elections, and Rubio has none. Simple as that!

If the election ends up being Clinton vs Fiorina, I might as well move to Mexico.

Ha, come on, man. You see the two losers at the top of that poll (guy in 4th is a loser as well)? When I start start buying the shit guys like Trump and Cruz are selling, I'll start worrying about myself. Just don't hurt yourself when Donnie drops out of the Republican race and doesn't run as an independent.

If and when Trump drops out and all his supporters flock to Cruz you and the status-quo mushy middle will soil yourselves.

That last debate, once and for all, should put to rest the laughable notion that Fox News is "right wing"

Fox attacks conservatives and protects the radicals like the Kenyan just like all the other gaystream media clowns.
