Had a run-in in HS with Rodney Harrison, liked to think he was a real bad-ass and you were some kind of nut to give him whatever he wanted...real arrogant a$$hole.

Surprised to hear Dan Fouts. I met him at a bar after a husker game once and he was very nice. I am a dolphin fan and we chatted about that classic game. Lee Smith also very nice as well as Roberto Hernandez, Jean Vandevelde and Fred Funk. Tom Lehman the biggest douchebag by far to date.

Micheal Jordon, Total Jag Off.....he Thinks Just Seeing Him Should Be A Honour For Anyone. Was Out To My Club Many Times To Golf, And Screwed The Caddies Every Time, When It Came To Tipping. He Even Went As Far As Saying To The Kid "i'am Payiny You A Flat Rate With No Tip, Because You Can Tell All Your Friends You Carried My Bag"

So I Ended Up Tipping The Kid...what A Ass Wipe He Is............g.

Probably depends on their mood when you run into them, just like any one of us. I am a nice guy most of the time, but I have bad days and don't feel like talking, either.....and I don't have people bugging me for autographs every day.

When I was 12, I ran into Ozzie Smith outside Busch Stadium before a game. He signed an autograph for me and another kid, but without saying a word or smiling once, he left my little brother standing there with his glove to be signed.

I'm sure Ozzie was trying not to draw attention in the parking lot. But if a seemingly great guy like Ozzie can be so impersonal, I'm sure the a-holes are even worse.

Wayne Gretzky, as kids we used to go to the Oilers practices and watched them. He would never give away his stick or rarely sign an autograph.

Once however, he was the last one on the ice so I figured I would again ask him for his hockey stick, he said "yes". So I waited patiently, he kept taking slapshots until his stick was completely shattered in pieces. As he was going off the ice he handed me his stick, I told him to **** off.

He may be the best hockey player ever but is a complete jerkoff.

Class guys - Nolan Ryan, Ernie Banks, Stan Musial

Jerks - Dave Winfield, Pete Rose at the top of the list.

Funny story - I tried to get Alan Wiggins autograph at Wrigley Field in 1984. He was hitting on 2 white girls about 18. I asked him polietly and he said he don't sign for any fu**ing honkies. I said thats ok, you did last year. I think he died about 5 years ago of AIDS.

Hero Worship

My kids would never be caught dead asking one of these a**holes for an autograph. I have explained to them the harmful effects of hero worship.

Regarding athletes I don't know personally. The cooliest encounter I ever had with an athlete was Hershel Walker (post-Georgia, pre-USFL) when I was a kid. Went to a movie with my uncle and while leaving ran into him and his girlfriend. He was down to earth and spoke to my uncle and I for a few minutes without rushing me along. Believe or not, another good encounter was with the quiet man Barry Sanders, he didn't say too much but we were there to play ball and not chit-chat so. I was shocked to see Barry dunk a ball on a regulation rim. He definitely has ups! My mom was friends with a player's wife from the Braves back in the day Jody Davis, he was pretty cool to hang out with and his wife thinking back about it was fine as hell!!!! He was a skirt chaser though and treated her like crap from what I remember but was still cool towards my brother and I.

The complete ass awards go to: Stephon Marbury (he and I use to go out, if you want to call it that, with the same chic). Long story :finger:

I know my friend would want me to add Todd Helton to the complete ass award as well. Never met him myself but long story.
