I was saying the whole damn third period that the Pens should go back to putting Malkin and Crosby on the same line because Malkin can't find it w/o him right now... They do it and even though neither score a lot of attention paid to both of them and GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

I'm no hockey expert but I wasn't quiet sure why they wouldn't just do that with the season on the line. That is clearly there best chance of scoring.

Maybe because they're both centers?

Huh? Malkin and Crosby have played on the same line throughout the season at multiple times. I know they're both Centers but Crosby has set up Malkin on a lot of goals this season. Maybe not as many as I'm imagining but I don't care what position they play. They are your two best players and they should be on the ice.

Is it possible you're thinking of when Crosby set up Malkin on the powerplay throughout the year?

Yes that as well and probably more so there than anywhere else but they've been on the ice at the same time throughout the year. If they can do it sometimes they can do it in an elimination game of the finals in the final period. There other lines clearly weren't playing well and Malkin was turning the puck over like crazy. Take the attention off of him and get him in the open ice is what I was saying.

All I was saying is that it gives them the best chance of scoring and with the season on the line who gives a fuck about positions and things like that. Put your best players on the ice and go at it.

"who gives a fuck about positions"

I guess you did admit you weren't an expert - that's bizarre logic in any team sport.

Fact is - Malkin has been playing like he's skating in grass and his head has been in a fog for games. If he and Sid couldn't cash in during the 5-on-3 in game 4, there's no hope.

Desperation time though - stranger things have happened.

Also Wings PP should have been a 5-3. Since not only was there
too many many on the ice, but also an interference simultaneously,
which stopped a potential Detroit breakaway. Rolltide MIA. LOL!

What about the Holmstrom slash on Crosby's stick? Or two or three interference calls that didn't go the Pens way? Think this has been pretty evenly called

Yeah IDK I agree on Malkin but he played better that OT. I just guess I would put them on the ice a little more but I know it'd affect the rest of the team and the game in a hole. There PP has been terrible as well so maybe they aren't playing so well together haha....

They were both on the ice for the final goal though.
