Yep. I believe that Detroit in that matchup would be profitable longterm though. If Pitt was +260 and lost by a goal despite outshooting and outplaying the Wings, then Pitt would be a profitable longterm play in that situation.

Very true. Many times a team gets up a couple of goals and go into defense mode. The losing team starts firing shots hoping for rebounds. Even though a team gets outshot badly, they may have had better opportunities.and shot selection.

True... +150 in that spot would be profitable longterm likely though. It's all relative and the whole conversation has alot of variables which are hard to value.

Not true in my opinion. Being on that side in that position, knowing what happened in that game, is going to be a longterm profitable situation to be in. Therefore making it the right side. If you make a bet at -300, and you win 8 out of 10 times, it doesn't make the 2 times you lose the wrong side. A game like that evens out. Ya gotta think of the bigger picture.

Or the game with the Jaguars/Titans where the Jags ran for almost 400 yards and the Titans had like 100 yards of total offense. That was my biggest bet of the season and the Titans had 4 defensive touchdowns I believe, 3 of them like 90 yard returns on Garrard interceptions. I couldn't believe it.
