When i think about net worth i don't think just about assets, but also future liabilities. I have six kids, two in college, three more next year and the year after and one four years away. (Didn't do all the damage myself; married a woman with four kids). If you figure four years of college for each one, then I have 24 years of college to fund. I've paid for three of those years so far. Average cost for the two in school: $30k per year. Times 21 more years = $630k still to fork over to our wonderful institutions of higher learning. Chances are the number will end up being higher than that. Forgive me if I don't think about calculating net worth very often. Also, please understand why I'm always interested in finding winners on this board. I might need them more than the average bear.
