wasnt like that at all. i just thought it was an interesting topic, and wondered if anyone else had ever taken the time to figure theirs out.

i figured mine to be in the 50-75k range, but including the equity i have in my home, and my 401k account, it is much higher.

im sure most of the posters around here are a LOT higher than me. hell, lots of guys have more than this in offshore sportsbooks.

No offense meant, you just happened to also mention that you aren't a college grad, seemed like you had a chip on your shoulder and wanted to point out that you are doing pretty well.

I doubt there are many people posting here who are considerably more well-off than yourself.

edu,

i have no chip on my shoulder at all. college would not have been my "thing", other than the partying.lol

we have guys here betting over a dime per game, and some guys with up around 100k in offshore books.

believe me, there are PLENTY of guys around here doing better than me.

I FIGURE out my IRA, 401K, mutual fund, stock portfolio, checking/savings add that with the equity in my house. THEN I FIGURE HOW MUCH I COULD GET ON EBAY FOR ALL MY CRAP, THEN I GET A TOTAL NET WORTH. Some of us are worth a lot more than we think that way.

There must be thousands of posters, just meant that your average joe here isn't sitting on a house with equity, a retirement plan, and $75k in cash.

Who goes to college for an education? It's all about the partying. If I had to estimate it, I would say that I spent 80% of my time drinking or recovering from drinking and 20% going to class. The best eight years of my life :drink: .

i dont have 75k in cash at all!!!

i think lots of people own houses and have retirement accounts.

the biggest thing that helps my net worth is the house i had built last year has increased SIGNIFICANTLY in value.

jman,

in the past 12 months, my house has gone up 50%.

calvert county is the fastest growing county in the state, and now they have instituted new laws stopping people from subdividing. prices have gone crazy.

im 32 years old, and i figured out my networth yesterday. kind of surprised at how high it was.

At 32 I had two young children, a mortgage, no savings and earned just enough each month to cover expenses. I'm 62 this year, retired, with enough assets to not have to worry about it.

Net worth is an arbitrary figure. Some people are worth millions and don't feel rich. Some people live a happy life on a Social Security check. I take a quick look at my net worth just to check up on my goals, but readily admit its subjective. After all in my subdivison last month a house smaller than mine sold for 20k more than another sale, one that is the same exact model as mine. So is my house worth what the similar house sold for, or worth more than the price of the smaller one? It doesn't really matter except for 25k in net worth estimate right?

I just bought a fishing net the other day. Market value = 30 bucks or so...

I wonder why anyone wants to know how much that's worth!? Strange question.:icon_conf
