If you spread a little bit of money around it never hurts. I find that it alwasy comes back to me.

a couple of examples:

once on a riverboat in New Orleans, I won about 50 on video poker...i tipped the bartender 5 bucks. he tipped me off about a machine at the bar that he said always paid...walked over to that side of the bar, put in 20 bucks, played max and hit a royal. I tipped him 100...then he told me about a slot machine that always paid...I walked over to the slots and hit a 4000 jackpot...I gave him 200.

many times playing bj, if the dealers know you are a good tipper they will give you signals when they have a face card up whether or not they have a bust card. also they are more prone to make mistakes that go in your favor and not to correct them.

the casino service people run on tokes...if you are winning money, then you should toke...that is the game. you will get better service.

My question is where does it end? Tip cab driver, dealer, doorman, hotel maid, valet guy, washroom attendant etc... might as well tip your garbage man, repair man, variety store clerk, mall store clerk, teachers, fast food workers etc. If you tip one service, you must tip all services to be fair. Person working in the clothing store makes alot less money than a cab driver. Or your local variety store clerk gives you that friendly smile everyday you grab a paper. Jeez, and I thought that tipping was "to insure promptness" ie food, everything else is a bunch of BS in my opinion. If I had a nickel everytime a hear a poker dealer say, "I have nothing to due with the cards," to losing player, I would be up at least 1000 units, yet when the player wins they expect a tip, go figure!!!
