What if sports betting becomes legal but it’s 13/10 juice???

I heard a podcast out of Vegas saying that with the leagues wanting a piece of the action - that it’s not far fetched to see -120 or -125 lines. So Would you still play offshore and hassle with the fees of collecting and the issue “is your money safe” to get -110 juice?
or lay the extra Vig and drive to the closet simulcast track or casino and pay extra so you could cash the ticket after the game and not worry about money gram , or bit coin payouts and also not hassle with offshore ???

I feel the -125 is coming when it’s nationwwide.

In Canada they have legalized sports betting through the lottery corporations but the lines are shyte and the best you can do is a 2 game parlay.

My is son in college while he knows the difference between 11/10 and 13/10 him and all his buddies would not care. They would gladly bet the game local and get ripped off. The masses would not care.
I also think if the leagues do indeed get 1% of their league handle it very well impact Nevada. Also it will bring up regional spread diffeeences. Imagine Ou v FSU
imagine the spread at the Indian casino in Norman and the line in Tallahassee?

We wont see that in Nevada, or I wont bet. We already get -105 on hockey and -104 on baseball here, I can't bet -120. The leagues don't need that much, nor will they get it once it's legal.

Yeah, most people dont do or think or understand the math. It would have to be -140 on ATS before they started scratching their head

You would think competition would ,but the dynamic of these leagues thinking they deserve a cut is crazy. Plus you get the states / government involved and it will be taxed to death.

I must say say I don’t keep any sum that has a comma in any 1 offshore account. I got burned back in the day. So let’s say I’m gonna bet would I post up offshore and hassle or drive to the dog track and bet. It really pisses me off to lay -120 but i don’t have to hassle with offshore
so yeah I can see betting into the -120. Most likely they the entities will have phone apps so you can do it from home. -120 or -125 is coming

I don't think the leagues will win the 1% argument......as for betting a -120 fav or dog, I wouldn't mind compared to betting it offshore. When you get up big offshore, you start to get nervous no matter how good the book is at paying off.

Also, if I like a dog of +2.5 or less, I will take the ML usually. Also, a lot of people will play parlays if they feel the -120 or -125 is too much.

But like others mentioned, they might start off -120 to -130, but that won't last, if they want to compete with locals & offshore, they need to be -110

Not necessarily. Up here in Ontario, (Canada) the government run sports betting is horrible! No single bets just two teams and up! A two team parlay pays the same as a single bet!!!! How people continue to play this crap is beyond me! But then again look who they elected as premier and prime minister!

They may not get us that way, but of course, one way or another they will stick it to us. My guess is something like outrageous fees for withdrawals and probably even deposits. I'm guessing that they will do most of it online. There may be some shops where you can go in person, but they may be few and far between. Kind of like how horse racing is now.
I live near Columbus, Ohio and the nearest thoroughbred track is over an hour away...which is f-----g ridiculous.
