Good Job Betallsports..

Gene Garber went 6-16 for the 1979 Braves all in relief.

This one is not very difficult:

What does Roger Maris' 60th homer in 1961 and Ted Williams' home run in
his final major league AB in 1960 have in common.

Absolutely. However Williams and Maris have one other connection that involves a single player - can you tell me what it is and who the player was?

Excellent. Now for my very favorite Ted Williams question:

Julio Franco is the only active player that's faced a pitcher that pitched to Ted Williams? Who was that pitcher?

Jim Kaat it is..Excellent

I guess I am going to have to go a little deeper..

What pennant winning team had the shortest stay atop the league standings of any pennant winner in MLB history.
Hint the team was in first place only three days the entire season.

Of course they won the pennant, just barely but win it they did..Or it would be a bogus question.

Actually it resulted in one of the most famous games in the history of baseball. One that will never be forgotten as long as there is baseball and people around who care about it's history..

Bobby Richardson 1960 Yankees is the only one I know of.

Steak Tartar - right the 51 Giants only occupied first place for three days that entire season and ended up winning the pennant in a playoff against the Dodgers by the "Shot heard round the world" - Bobby Thompson's 9th inning 3 run homer off Ralph Branca at the Polo Grounds.

I don't think Bonds ever played in a World Series but for sure he was never MVP of one.

Oil Can Boyd

What about him? He had his best year for the pennant winning but series losing 86 Red Sox but Ray Knight was MVP of that series.
